I picked up a copy of Sunday Edition of Seattle Times at the restaurant this morning. I remember Sunday paper being 3~5 times ticker than this. It must be hard for newspaper comapnies when the number of advertisers decline line this.
This is what is happening to traditional businesses including all the brick and mortor stores. It is so hard for busionesses to adopt changes and many companies decide to stay where they are. But they have to realize, not changing, they are killing themselves.
Snce its opening on 17th (last Tuesday), http://www.postinheaven.com recorded 200 hits. That does not sound much but considering this site has been open only for a week with no advertisment, it is quite an accomplishiment.
Somebody asked me today what and how to use hashtag.
According to Wiki: A hashtag is a type of metadata tag used on social network and microblogging services, allowing users to apply dynamic, user-generated tagging that makes it possible for others to easily find messages with a specific theme or content; it allows easy, informal markup of folk taxonomy without need of any formal taxonomy or markup language.
... What is that mean?
Consider it as a type of keyword that you want to associayte with your social media and blog post. #UchikuraCo is a hashtag. By having this hastag, you can search Internet using this hashtag.
I created a site inspired by the NHK Documentary called "Wind Telephone". The idea behind this website is simple.
If you could say just a few words to someone you love in Heaven, what would you say?
Whatever you write on this site is private. We even purchased and installed SSL (Secure Software to Make Internet Communication Encrypted). If you need send message or prayer or just need to say something, just write it and press send. I founded that it actually makes me feel little better. Try it and let me know what you think. If you like it, please shred it with your friend. I hope you like it. (There is no fee nor any obligation.)
When I try setting up a site to sell/advertise products and services online, I learned it is not easy. Why can't I just list what I want to sell online?
That is the basic idea behind Kiroboto. With Kiroboto, you can just register you or your company and start posting products and services for FREE. No string attached. You can write a link to your website, eBay listing or Amazon listing if you want. There is no fee. On top of the Kiroboto carries no advertisement.
We just released the first public pre-beta release for Seattle area only. Please try it. And if you have question, contact me at ken Uchikura.
In May, Warren Buffett sent Wall Street into a frenzy when he sold a third of Berkshire Hathaway's stake in IBM. In response to his decision, Buffett stated, "I don't value IBM the same way that I did six years ago when I started buying...I've revalued it somewhat downward."
It is funny ... IBM has recorded 21 consecutive quarter of lost revenue. And their AI business is very slow growing in the US. However, in Japan, AI is somewhat a boom. Japan always adopt the latest and greatest before it is proven. They always waste a lot of money and effort.
Pre-release of Kiroboto should be sometime this or next week.
It is design for individuals and businesses to advertise products at no cost.
Later version of Kiroboto will provide the secure way for users to purchase products.
This is a form file called action.php
It is .php file but the inside is 100% HTML only. When the for is submitted ... this program will be called.
action_hander.phpThis is what action.php looks like. This is the result.
This is how you create a form and edit it into a PHP program.
I will go slow from here to truly understand.
I have decided to skip CLASS functions of PHP ... I may re visit it later. It just does not make sense to an old programming guys like me. Object oriented is like a mass production cars ... It will never win any races.
I think one of the features of PHP is to make it class/object oriented. To do so, you need to understand Class and Object and how they are used. I will spent more time with this to make sure I understand what I am doing.
This is a sample ... I created a class called Dog and calling it from outside.
