My current choice of music is Chromeo, an Electrofunk group from Montreal, Quebec, Canada. They are known for their dance grooves and at this moment they have me shaking my legs to the beat and bobbing my head. I'm dancing really well in my head, too bad I really have no real skills when it comes to dancing or I might be more inclined to do it in public.

Also, check out Chromeo if good dance music is you thing.

I wanted to find a Free Tiny Images that had people dancing but currently there isn't many dancing photos in the collection, so here is one of a stage dancer being photographed with some shutter effects.

Beef, it's what's for dinner, or at least that's how the slogan goes. Beef is the third most consumed meat in the world only after pork and poultry. I love beef, steaks, ribs, brisket. beef stock, all of it, it would be hard for me to be a vegetarian because I like beef so much, I don't eat it everyday or anything, but a diet without beef would be boring to me, I would miss it.

I'm not exactly sure when this photo was taken but I really appreciate the huge gathering of straw boater hats. This photo had me wondering, what happened to people wearing hats?
It turns out there isn't a definitive reason why wearing a hat became less popular, but from my research I've come to the conclusion it was a combination of many factors. Mens hair fashion styles changed greatly in the 50's and 60's, more Iconic male celebrities and famous figures were being known for their hair styles such as Elvis and James Dean, also the price of sunglasses and the old stigma that they were only for Blind people or those with vision problems was fading.
I didn't realize sunglasses had such an affect on the hat industry but I guess looking back it makes sense. In the early 1960's Foster and Grant had advertising campaigns for their line of sunglasses which labeled hats as the old fashioned way of getting the sun out of your eyes, so that also helped seal the fate of formal head wear.

While wearing hats never fully went away, they are no longer as popular as they once were, and in my opinion, it's a shame, so I say, Lets bring the hat back, and I'm not talking about baseball hats, I'm talking about bowler/derby hats, fedoras, pork pie hats, flat caps, and the homburg style. These were all classy hats that were fitting for many occasions. Just be sure to use proper hat wearing etiquette, you don't want to offend the misses by not raising your hat by the crown when greeting her, or by not tilting the brim of your hat when greeting a friend, or the classic not-so-classy move of forgetting to remove your hat when entering a restaurant or elevator. you don't want to look like you have no respect do you? of course you don't, you're an old fashioned hat wearer now and with that comes hat wearing responsibility. leave the disrespect for the backwards baseball cap crowd to dish out.

I am in no way hating on baseball caps, I have a ton of them and have been known to wear them backward on occasion, just sayin'. Time to class it up a notch. Lets do it!

I'm going on a mission to acquire a collection of these type of hats now. I'll let you know in a while how my hat hunting is coming, I'll be sure to find another Free Tiny Image of some old timey hat wearers.

Baby cribs are a genius and cruel invention. Genius because it allows parents to be lazy and not have to watch their children 100 percent of the time. And cruel because we start them off from an early age, teaching our children to get used to being in situations we can't always get out of. like a cruel metaphor we don't realize until we get older, always held in by our surroundings.
Some babies learn early that all they have to do is cry to get what they want, but I think this baby is going for the, be cute and you'll get what you want approach.
Since this picture was taken in the 70's, this baby isn't quite so small. I don't know but this is one cute picture!

Mt. Rainier National Park is re-opening Saturday the 7th. It has been closed since the tragic new years shooting of 34 year old park ranger Margaret Anderson.
Margaret Anderson was shot by 24 year old Benjamin Barnes after she attempted to stop his vehicle from driving past a tire-chain checkpoint. After fleeing the scene and being on the run for a little less than 24 hours, Benjamin Barnes' body was found in a snowy creek, he died from apparent drowning and hypothermia.

This picture of the beautiful Mt. Rainier reminded me of this horrible recent news story and my thoughts are on Margaret Anderson's family and friends grieving her passing.

I love the snow, but I dislike those pesky moguls, skiers love them because they like to be all technical and stuff, but snowboarders, we like to cruise or jump things, so these bumps can be annoying. still, I would love to be fighting a hill with these on a day like today, getting all cold on the ride up the mountain, enjoying the beautiful view at the top and getting a great workout while sliding down only to repeat the process as many times as possible.
