This is a photo of the Chief Seattle statue taken sometime in the 70's. Since then the statue has been refurbished and it doesn't have the green oxidation patina color anymore, but it IS in the same location it has been for over 100 years. (the intersection of Fifth Avenue, Denny Way, and Cedar Street).
I have driven past this statue to many times to count, I knew it existed and what it looked like, but until today I had no idea where it actually was.

Chief Seattle was known for his good relations with the European settlers, if it weren't for him one of the most influential settlers, Doc Maynard would have been assassinated. so in return, with the urging of Doc Maynard and other settlers, the City was named after the Chief.

The Washington State Ferry system is the largest in the world, having carried 11 million vehicles annually. It is also the third largest in the world based on fleet size. It is also the most used ferry system in the world. There are currently 22 ferries on Puget Sound. Pretty impressive I'd say.

I like to call this photo "hunting kills". Clearly in this case the hunter did get a kill and he looks pretty stoked about it, even posing for a picture with the lifeless beast of a deer. I spent a good 45 seconds trying to think of a good Chuck Testa joke but nothing came, too bad. I do love a good Chuck Testa joke, maybe next time.

How does a Christmas tree farmer feel about Christmas being over? If I had to guess I would say that they probably wished that people needed more than one tree a year to decorate and litter needles all over their living rooms. I'm sure the farmers of these mini firs love the cash they rake in during the holidays but once it's over they have to wait 11 months to sell more.

If you have a real tree in your living quarters, be sure to throw it out a week or two after Christmas or the chances of you coming home to a crispy burnt living room go way up. plus the needles really start falling off fast and they are a pain to clean up even with the best Dyson on the market.

At first glance I thought these were hippies with the face paint and all, then I thought they might be Occupy protesters, but with further investigation I've concluded that they are some sort of theatrical performers. The woman laying in the front with the giant smile obviously didn't get the memo about looking dazed and numb though.

It's the holidays, The parties and gatherings of family and friends are in full swing, the ugly sweaters are displayed with pleasure and the drinks are flowing, lots and lots of drinks, alcoholic ones, ones that make for dangerous drivers and turn happy holiday party people into Criminals. Drunk driving is terrible! and it's a stupid thing to do. Don't be stupid, be stupendous!

If you are going to drink alcohol, find a designated driver or call one of these helpful humans piloting one of the many taxi's in your area, they will gladly help you get home safe for a fee.

This stock photo is a fish-eye view of the Capitol building in Washing DC. This is a view of the East side of the capitol, although both the East and the West sides are officially referred to as the front side. The east side was originally designed for visitors and arrivals of dignitaries.

This snowy mountain range reminds me of driving over the Cascade mountain range, and although this photo probably wasn't taken around this time of year, it is very beautiful none the less.

Great stock photos can sometimes be hard to come by especially good quality ones. This photo of a wooden fence is a good example of a great stock photo. such a rustic looking fence line was surely built by a real cowboy, at least that's what I imagine, and Imagination means something right? OK maybe it means I'm guessing but still, this photo rocks!

Is this a snapshot of a stereotypical lunch lady or what!? One can only assume she is wearing orthopedic shoes, those glasses, that hair-net and that smile just scream out, "Come get some Sloppy Joe and green beans". Somewhat reminds me of the lunch lady in Adam Sandler's Billy Madison film. She looks happy, even if she isn't a lunch lady, maybe she's happy because she ISN'T a lunch lady?

When uploading photos for free tiny images I came across this slide of a man wearing glasses with sideburns and a mustache, when I first saw this picture I instantly laughed because this guy looks just like one of my friends, minus the mustache glasses and sideburns they are almost identical looking. doppelgangers are a funny thing!

I'm loving the cardigan bow-tie combo, I think I might go to goodwill and pick me up some rad clothes like this! now if only if I could find a phone like that! I think I've seen a receiver like that that you can plug into your mobile phone.
