Sad Response at Costco

Do you think this box is missing two oranges?

I bought a box of orange this afternoon at Costco. I noticed that the box looks like there are two oranges missing from the box. I asked the casher and the casher asked the someone near by ... the response was

"It looks like missing one or two but the box is always over weight."

Meaning ... You are not being cheated even if we are missing one or two. Not a very good response. I did not want to go all the way back to exchange the box anyway ... So I took it as is.

Always try to check before leaving the store, however, we do miss it... oh well... Costco... they ask you to bring back, but this is the first time I heard... the answer differently. Also, they are getting strict!! No more allowing smaller portion of meat... just have to take it all... guess retailers got on their case?
