I saw a police training video on TV news footage. An officer goes into looks like a domestic violence station. A man is holding a knife and threatening a woman. A policeman ask him to drop a weapon (knife). He turned around charged at a poise with knife. A policeman opens fire … video ends here.
I cannot find the video on YouTUBE but it looks like a policeman is justified in shooting a man with knife. But I think this justified only in America. A police should be trained to use non lethal weapon to disarm a man. A gun should be the last thing a policeman should be using.
It is not old western movie … If a policeman is charged by a man, they should be trained enough to overtake the man. The only time I think a policeman is allowed to shoot a man is when he is threatening another civilian. That's why policemen are called hero and honored when they are harmed in the line of duty.
I hate to see any more people being shot and killed by police when the only person being threatened in a policeman. This is just my opinion.

This is a perfect picture.
I walked Medina park this morning with Pompom. Some of the leaves are turning red.
Our web hosting service comes with very easy to use web building system called Web de Xpress. It is so easy even a dog can use it ... not really.

Web de Xpress is a template driven web development and maintenance software. It can automatically create a web for PC and Mobile devices.
It rained all day today. I played golf in the rain today. It was not a heavy rain, so that was not too bad. I shot 50 and 45 today. It took sometime to get used to wet condition.
Can you see from these pictures that it rained this afternoon. The temperature is less than 70F. It is 20F cooler than two days ago. I like it this way.
I saw a truck I believe to belong to Cummins Northwest. I think it is a reputable company. But when the break lights come on, you can see "Nazi Swastika" symbol comes up. It is not a fluke, the symbol is on both side of the tail light. The picture was taken at Today 8:23am on 140th and NE 8th. The car turned into Shell Gas Station.
Are you kidding me?
I reported it to Cummins Northwest using their form. I do not know if I get any response. I will keep you posted.

Simply said, all the weather forecasts in Seattle sucks.
Today's high was supposed to 81F, but it now 86F.
It is warmer (hotter) than Los Angeles, Tokyo and Ashiya (where I was born).
I wonder what is the weather forecast success rate is in Seattle.
It must be one of the worst in the US.
I would recommend Microsoft Surface (3 not 2 or RT) to people who is looking for mobility for the computing needs. But looking at prices of Microsoft Surface 3, I can't really recommend it. Like the one you see in this photo, your need to spend $1,300 dollars and it does not come with a keyboard.
For that price, you can (1) buy a really nice ultra portable not book PCs from lenovo, DELL or HP, (2) buy a Macbook Air. It looks like those Surface 3 costs a lot to make but you really need to have the price compete at iPad to make sense.
played at Northwest Minority Business Council Charity Golf Tournament at New Castle today. This is a first tome play at New Castle this year. It was another warm day withe temperature running over 90F.
I walked over 11,000 steps today … not too bad for golf with a cart.
Sure it is sell very warm for Seattle. Actually, the temperature is going to be about 10F above normal for next few days. But the sky is starting to look like fall. This morning was no exception.
Pompom gets washed (shampooed) every Sunday. He got a raw beef for dinner tonight. He is now 11 and 1/2 years old. I hope he lives long and healthy.
It is very unfortunate for this eWallet company to see their name used for something else. ISIS ... What would you do, your company name all of the sudden became the terrorist organization's name?
I played golf this afternoon after a healthy lunch. It was another hot day today. I shot 50/47 ... I am not good in heat.
Texting or Checking Email
Listening to Something
On my way to Seattle, I saw those guys.
On is clear texting whittle driving and another is listening to something on his earphone. I wish there was a police there.
One of the things that Microsoft Office 365 does not offer is DNS service. That made a business opportunities to VARs and System Integrators to make some money. However, that will be ending soon.
Do you know where is the best place to buy Microsoft Office 365 for your business, if you want to use Office 365?
GoDaddy.com
Yes, GoDaddy.com is becoming one of the largest reseller of Microsoft Office 365 while providing renowned DNS service. If you are a reseller of Microsoft Office 365, be worried. I predict not far in the future Microsoft will acquire GoDaddy.com.
I am not an advocate of Microsoft Office 365 and I recommend independent email hosting service like ours because of the higher service level. But this is a very interesting development in Microsoft strategies.
Once in a while I drop by at Safeway before I come to PSPINC in the morning to pickup few bagels.
Yes, I had a steak at Seafood Restaurant.
Sorry … I like seafood but I really think restaurants here do not know how to prepare seafood properly. I eat seafood a lot at Japanese restaurants but not in American restaurants with exception of Fish and Chips.
Today is a beautiful day. It is not hot nor cold. I just love the day like this in Western Washington.
I just purchased and downloaded software call CroosOver. This software enables Macintosh to run selected Windows software without a copy of Windows. List of Windows software that you can run includes Microsoft Office software.
I am not too happy about the number of Windows software it supports but it is still an interesting program. It usually costs $60 but now you can buy it $30 from StackSocial.com.

I have created a new company called PSP HOLDINGS LLC and transferred all my PSPINC sticks to this new company. This new company will be the base for new ventures that I have been planning for years.
I was introduced to wonderful entrepreneur today. He is the president of Ezell's Chicken. Now I know why Ezell's chicken tastes so good. It is the people and philosophy behind the product.

Have you ever wonder which browser should you use?
Most people are using some versions of Internet Explorer. It is same as people use Microsoft Office no matter what. You might already know which browsers are better.
I purchased USB to LAN Adopter Cables on eBay. If this was an Apple original, it cost about $20 each, but on eBay without Apple logo, it was less than $4.00 with free shipping. I knew they were coming from China but I did not feel too bad about it because Apple one is also Made in China.
I bought 5 of them because they were cheap and most of light new notebook PCs and MacBooks have no LAN port. We need USB to LAB Adopters. But what puzzles me is the fact AirMail from China added no shipping charge.
If the product was made in the US, they need to charge me shipping. How can China able to ship goods from China to our office in Bellevue so cheap? I cannot ship same amount of item from the US to China and Japan for $20.
There is a Clocklink deployment planned for tomorrow at 11 am. The deployment will include:
- The new pageview counter that appears at the bottom of the page.
- Fix to the Facebook like and share buttons so that they will actually link to Clocklink.com
- The Gallery menu in the sidebar will no longer collapse when you navigate through the gallery
- removed a few timezones from the timezone pulldown on the Flash World Clock *only*, as the Flash World Clock has never supported those particular timezones.

We were able to avoid any traffic related issue with the high access from Japan. However, one of our servers developed the problem so we failed over to our backup server at HQ.
We found a malfunction on the backup server, so we revert back to the primary server after the restart. We are currently working hard to find the problem with the backup server. This affected customer in Japan and we are very sorry. We will find the problem even if we had to work all night.
This problem affected no customers in the US.
It is almost 8:00 am in Japan. The traffic has not started yet. Those graphs show the last 24 hour bandwidth use for our two backbone lines to Japan. They are currently running below 20% capacities.
For security purpose, we are not showing the actuarial Bits Per Second and name of back born providers.
We are expecting large spike in Internet traffic from Japan due to the ending of the summer vacation. We have those Internet traffic surges on three occasions from Japan.
(1) First working day after the new year
(2) First working day after the Golden Week in end of April to May
(3) First working day after the Bon summer holiday
This is the first of such surfer after we swap our storage to SAN. I hope nothing will happen.
I played golf today. I shot 43/50 .. I git tired on the back 9.
Today was warm but it was nothing compared to Monday.
Today temperature was about 80F, Monday was 97F.
My golf handicap went from 17.8 to 15.9 in just a few weeks.
The main reason is that I hurt my back and unable to swing hard.
My daughter went back to Washington DC this morning. I took her to the airport waking up at 4:30am. I am tired all day today. She just TEXT me that she arrived in DC.
She will be traveling to Germany for 10 months stating this September.
Do you know which states have no sales tax?
Don't look it up on the Internet. Just guess.
Answer is in the comment section.
There are people calling you pretending they are part of Microsoft technical support. They ask you to give up your password and they get into your computer. They might try to sell you security software and so on.
They are fake. Microsoft will not call you to tell you you have a problem with your Windows or PC. They might even give you a 800 number to call.
Note: You might wish Microsoft will call you if you have a problem, but that is how Microsoft do things. If you want that to be the case, you will probably need to pay Microsoft lots of money.

It was 8th annual PSPINC golf tournament at Aldarra Golf Club. The temperature climbed upo to 97F (36C) today. It was not comfortable. I shout 44/59. I found not play back nine at all.
Despite the heat, I hope everyone enjoyed the outing today. Thank you for coming out.
Ever since I was a child, I don't really do good in heat.
Today was no exception. It was way too hot for me.
However, it will be hotter tomorrow and even hotter on Monday.
We will ha a golf tournament on Monday.
I hope I can survive.

New Servers
Retiring and Removing Disks from Old Servers
We are retiring many old servers to make room for more powerful new servers. By virtualizing, we are replacing 4 servers with one new server. When we retire old servers, all memories and hard disks are taken out to make sure that we secure all data.
When our business buys something (anything) from vendors, we select vendors whom buy something from us.
To create a successful business relationships, both party must benefit from each other. If one can only buy and one can only sell, that is not be a long term business relationship.
We truly believe that. So, what can we give you today?
Have you change your email from POP to IMAP yet. Many of you choose POP and select an option to leave copies of emails on server.
POP is not design to hold many emails on the server. Do if you do this, you will encounter many problems accessing your mailbox. This is specially true when you access your mailbox from multiple devices.

This device disable cellular phone (text/phone/email/app) while the car is in motion. This is a very good idea for many people I see using cellular phone in their cars.
It is sully $99 but AT&T is discounting it for $10. It's a bargain.

I heard the report saying tablet sales are down. They said people are moving from tablets to desktop and notebook PCs which provide better value for a dollar. I agree but there is one other factor. Smartphones are getting bigger and displaying more information than before. With that much screen, people are not needing to have tablets and smartphones together.
For instance this Windows Phone with 6" monitor can display 1920x1080 (HDTV) natively. That is amazing. Why do you need a tablet when a smartphone like this phone can display as much information as tablets.
If you visit some page on Facebook and the it ask you to press OK to proceed, please do not press OK. The site gets permission to get your email andy friend list. So, please just say NO … in tho case "Cancel", please.
Our golf tournament will take place at Aldarra Golf Club a week from today. As of today we have 110 players signed up and the field is full. Thank you for participating. Hopefully the weather will be nice on Monday.
I have been thinking about this question for a long time and I think I finally came to the conclusion. Of cause, we have very well designed and well build system. But it is not our system that makes us better, it is the people behind the service that makes us different.

Our standard control panel for our web and email hosting looks like this. There are lots of features, but the best part is, if you have question, you can just call us.
Do you know if your company is arrogant or lost touch with the real world?
Here are some points I found on Internet.
1. You hire and develop great people but then fail to listen to their input if it is nonconformist thinking.
2. Your company rationalizes its mistakes instead of learning from them.
3. Your company focuses almost exclusively on financial success with little regard for legacy and social impact.
4. Your company lobbies against sound regulations because they may add complexity to the way you operate.
5. Your leaders pat themselves on the back when the company succeeds financially, even though success derived from market forces rather than actual performance.
6. Your leaders believe the company can't fail.
7. Your leaders dictate more than they listen.
8. The company underestimates its competition and minimizes the success competitors achieve.
9. Access to top leadership in the company requires wading through multiple layers of bureaucracy.
10. There is a focus on amassing the trappings of success: large, well-appointed offices, chauffeured cars, private jets, and the like.
11. Your company doesn't become a partner in a merger; it takes over, losing the value of the culture and learning the other organization might have provided.
12. Your company suffers from "Not Invented Here Syndrome," believing it holds the monopoly on great ideas, so that innovations coming from the outside ("Not Invented Here") are deemed to hold little value.

People are not buying as much Tablets anymore but the sale of desktop and notebook PCs are up. This is because more and more people are using smartphones as alternative to tablets as smartphones are getting bigger and bigger.
This is a very interesting trends!!!
It was Porsche Day at Redmond Town Center. There are many expensive Porsches like GT3RS and Turbos. I mean there are many of them. Maybe too many of them.
I like those air cooled Porsches.
I would like to lower SPAM threshold to 4.0 from current 5.5.
I checked many emails that come in to my mailbox and checked the SPAM scores. About 50% of them are over 4.0 but not much more. At the same time, all valid email had score of less than 1.5.
By moving to 4.0, we should be able to eliminate additional 30 to 50% of SPAM emails. We will proceed with this change on Monday August 4. If you have question or concern, please let me know.

If anything can go wrong, it will.
Nothing on the Internet is free from the Murphy's Law. No matter how much redundancy you create, no matter how much you spend, your site and your email will sometime go down. Nobody wants to make it go down (except maybe hackers) but it will happen.
Whatever you store on the Internet can be stolen. The best thing you can do to protect information is not to store important data on the internet. This morning, Facebook, is down. It is a publicly traded multi-billion dollar corporation. The server is down. If this can happen to Facebook, it can happen to anyone.
