I have filled my Honda Pilot this morning at $1.899/Gallon. That translates to about $0.50/L or 57yen/L. It's one of the better prices for a gallon of gas at Chevron. According to the information, $0.44 of the gas price is State Tax.

The same place a baby was killed last September 29, there was an accident again this morning. It seems there is an accident every other month at this corner. Because of the increased traffic in Bellevue, more people are driving 140th than before.

Hai-Ryo is a Japanese word meaning "Being Considrate of ..."
To use Hai-Ryo, you think about your action and its effect to others without being asked.

If you are parking at a parking spot, you try to park in the middle of the space so that others can park easily. When you sneeze, you cover your mouth. When you are at the party, you ask if hosts need any help.

I just received an information about Hannover Messe. State of Washington is planning a exhibit space there and as a Washington State company, we get to participate for reasonable price.

We have never looked at Europe as a potential market but what we sell is an Internet services, so we should have no barrier. Something to think about. Besides, I get to go back to Germany ... That was fun last year.

I did a video conference with SPPinc team in San Diego ... They told me that are cold. I asked what was the temperature ... they told me it's only 70F.

I told them at 70F, I would be playing golf with my shorts.

I just look back some of the pictures I took in San Diego ... Just nor fair.

I bought this for less than $10 on eBay.

Do you need a screen protector on your smartphone?

The short answer is "YES".

I think having screen protector is more important than having the smartphone case. Usually, the body of smartphones are made out of some kind of metal and it is strong. But the screen is made out of (may be enforced) glass which can shatter upon direct impact. So you should have a protective film or glass that protect it from direct impact.

You can also break the screen if your phone hits the hard ground ... for that you should have some kind of buffer. For that you need a case. Smartphones are getting gibber but thinner and lighter. Having a case and film makes a phone bulkier ... But you do not want to break it as it costs a lot to fix or buy a new one.

If you have a clear goal (purpose), you should figure out what to do (means). But when the purpose is not clear, you do things just for the sake of doing things.

Usually when you exercise, you have reasons. Loose weight, get in shape and so on. More strong the goal or purpose is, more you exercise. As a manager, you need to make sure you communicate the purpose and let people do whatever they to make hot happen. If they fail, remember Sun Tzu's words.

Sun Tzu said: "If words of command are not clear and distinct, if orders are not thoroughly understood, then the general is to blame. But if his orders are clear, and the soldiers nevertheless disobey, then it is the fault of their officers."

I was in Korea (Incheon Airport) for transit from Tokyo to Seattle. I was at the ASIANA Lounge where I had a few hours to kill. I had some salad and took a can of tomato juice. Have you ever had sugar sweetened tomato juice? I have never had sweet tomato juice ... I could not drink it. But that does not mean Korean people drink strange drinks. It means culture is different.

When we build our software, we must really think about how people in the different part of the world use same things differently. Translating the software is one thing, but really making software localized for the market is important. PSPinc used to do software localization for many US software companies. That is how this company is started. We still focus on how our customer use our software first. That is one of the reasons why people start with PSPinc for many years.

Be Careful When You Travel to Japan

No Public WiFi ... At least no free WiFi.

Japan is one of the most technically advanced counties in the world but you find almost NO FREE WIFI here. I went to a new Book Store & Coffee shop at Japan Rail Ashiya Station can MIRAI BOOKS. Place is very clean and plenty of seating space and you are allowed to read books there. But there was no WiFi. I could not believe it.

Even a world famous bullet train announces "Please use our WiFi" but those WiFi are not public WiFi. You must subscribe to some services. I found this very strange. So when you travel to Japan, expect no WiFi except at your hotel and places like Starbucks Coffee.

I really think retail businesses in Japan should provide FREE WiFi services to attract more people.
