thread
Yes! I'm currently leaving my place to visit San Sebastian Church today to have a book discussion with the Flippers. Can't wait to discuss the book 'The Pillars of the Earth' by Ken Follet!

Writer's Block

thread
I need a book review this time but I need a new idea to make it interesting, so I'm sitting here and can't think of anything. Yay, I wasted my 2 hours of no working status, I need to read books and write reviews for them. Even my reviews are not entertaining to readers and I find it difficult to find new ideas.

Hmp, wish I was born to become a writer not a sloppy reader.

Review: Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card

thread
Taken from http://kwesifriends.blogspot.com/2010/10/review-enders-game-by-orson-scott-card.html

It would be so good if your living in the future with high-tech computers and spaceships and gaming become training program for younger military. I was disappointed after reading the book, I expected a lot since a friend of mine recommended it and maybe I am desperate to read books like the Harry Potter Series by J.K. Rowling, but I'm trying to give it a chance I'll read the whole series and some of Orson Scott Card's books. (I have The Memory of Earth, Pastwatch: The Redemption of Christopher Columbus, Seventh Son and Heartfire) I bought my copies from a cheap book shop the one I always mentioned in my reviews, Booksale, the only bookshop that you can browse from 5 pesos to 20 pesos in good condition.

Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card. The International Fleet (IF) invited Ender (Andrew Wiggin) to join the military training or the Battle School, and his sister, Valentine encourage Andrew to join the team. From the beginning Ender never likes to enter in the military training but after he thought that joining in the IF will help him away from the bullies and from his brother Peter. As he enter the school he become more popular and recognize as genius and magnet of bullies. After experiencing being alone in life, he isolate himself from the other gamers and soon he ranks from other elite student.

While Valentine and Peter become writers and publish scholarly works to promote liberalism and what really happened to the recent world. They works become popular to the higher rank and become more popular. After Valentine understand the condition of Ender, she persuade Ender to continue his training. The IF promotes Ender to become commander and graduated as one of the best among all the elite students. Soon he assigned to a battleship and fight for buggers, I'm still confused with who really are the buggers, I think Orson didn't explained it clearly but I think they're just unknown alien specie just orbiting the milky way or something.

Do you think Ender really find the answer that he's looking for, an answer that will stop the war, the things that he really need to understand. I love the last part of the book it really reminds me of life, questions that can't be answer, a mystery.

Why did I collect Orson Scott card's books? Simple questions can be answered by a simple answer, it is my nature to collect books of a certain authors even I don't like their works. I don't know why but it runs in my blood. Never stop buying. Hikhik.

Book #2 of Dewey's 24 Hour Read-a-Thon

A short view of the Live Action Role Playing (LARP) last August, take a peak of the event here at Sumthinblue (http://sumthinblue.com/quarter-quell-live-action-role-play-larp/). I can't imagine I joined in a brutal fight! One of my best experience with the other Flippers, sad to say we lose in the fight. Sorry district 7. Above. Haha. That was the picture I send to Bestseller for my ID, I wish they enjoy laughing. Haha. Special thanks to my partner, I can't find her picture. Ella (http://www.themused.webs.com/).

New and Who Cares

thread
Hi guys, I'm new here and kinda quirky and wimpy with the new functions of the site and I'm trying to read all of your entries while doing mine. I think almost of the blogs here are personal and I longing for a blog like that. So planned to make this blog something personal for me, something a public diary. But not all dirty secrets will come out. I mean simple to know me more.

Recently I've been bogging again with my old blog, Sweet Reads (http://kwesifriends.blogspot.com/). It's all about books, so it contains spoilers, I mean reviews and some events. I also join some challenges. I'm in a long hiatus last year with blogging since I'm busy with my school works. Now I'm back and love this new layout, simple.

Have fun guys, I'll be posting more tomorrow and I'm trying not to bore myself. Hehe. See ya!
