Starting Tuesday, December 20th PSPinc will be rolling out a new version of our greylist for our Dreamersi Email system.
Greylist is a method of defense against spammers - it does this by temporary rejecting incoming mail. Legitimate senders will resend mail after a delay and will be registered on our whitelist. Mail sent from a sender on the whitelist will be recognized – but will also go through our Spam Assassin.
By default, the greylist will be turned off on all Dreamersi accounts. Dreamersi domain Admin accounts can turn this feature on in the spam settings.
We understand your frustration and hope we can work together to fight against spammers and hackers. PSPinc will continue to devote time and resources to fighting them for you. This is phase one of our ongoing battle. We thank you for your patients, and we appreciate your business.
At this time, this function is only for V4 server customers - if interested, we will be offering migration.
If you encounter any problems or have concerns, please contact us at 425-957-0808.
PSPinc will be deploying an upgrade to Dreamersi email servers on Wednesday, April 6 at 12pm PDT (Thursday, April 7 at 4am JST) that will allow Domain Administrators to turn the [POSSIBLE SPAM] stamp on or off according to their preferences. No downtime is expected for this deployment and no email will be lost.
The [POSSIBLE SPAM] and [POSSIBLE VIRUS] stamps are turned on by default; after the upgrade Domain Administrators will be able to turn off the [POSSIBLE SPAM] stamp through the Domain Spam Filter’s Spam Stamp Setting. The [POSSIBLE VIRUS] stamp cannot be turned off. Emails stamped with [POSSIBLE VIRUS] will be diverted to the spam box, as will any emails stamped [POSSIBLE SPAM] whose senders have not been added to the user’s exception list in their Dreamersi Admin panel.
Changing the stamp setting will not affect how email is filtered by the spam scanning servers, only whether or not email the servers consider possibly suspicious, but not definite spam, is marked before reaching the inbox.
If you have any questions or concerns about your Dreamersi account, please contact email@example.com for assistance.
PSPinc will be deploying an update to the Dreamersi STMail servers on Friday, April 1st at 7:00am PDT (Friday, April 1st at 11:00pm JST). This week's deployment is the second part of the upgrade installed on March 25th.
No emails will be lost and a very brief server connectivity interruption of less than a minute is anticipated during this update. If you do experience any delays that do not resolve after a few minutes Friday, or have any questions or concerns about your Dreamersi email hosting, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org or call 425-957-0808 for assistance.
PSPinc's Dreamersi mail services are fully back and operational at this time. If you are still having issues accessing your mail at this time please contact us at 1-425-957-0808.
Currently we are experiencing issues receiving mail on our Dreamersi services. Our engineering team is currently investigating the issue and we will update shortly as we work on restoring mail services. If you have further questions please call 1-425-957-0808.
Thank you for being patient while PSPinc has been working to fight against the increase in incoming spams after we removed the greylist 10 days ago. After assessing the technology available for Dreamersi's email systems, we decided to implement a SORBS blacklist to block incoming spam. This will be installed tomorrow, Tuesday, March 29 at 12pm PDT.
SORBS stands for Spam and Open Relay Blocking System, and the blacklist is managed by an organization that maintains and updates a list of servers from which spams are sent out. When a sender’s IP address is on the SORBS blacklist, our system will reject the email. This will not block all of your spam, but we hope this measure will reduce it significantly.
The rejected sender’s email server should send a notification to the sender that their email has been rejected if the server is a legitimate email server, as Dreamersi's servers are.
We will continue to fight our battles on your behalf in this war against spammers and hackers.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us at 425-957-0808.
We are seeing a batch of spam emails come through this morning with "FW: Invoice Copy" with spoofed email addresses listed as the sender. We are working on blocking this latest batch of spoofed sender email spam, but we ask that you take care if you see any emails with odd subject lines or attachments, even if you think you know who the sender is.
As always, do not open attachments from emails that look fishy, and feel free to contact email@example.com or give us a call at 425-957-0808 if you need help figuring out if an email is legit and attachments are safe to open.
PSPinc has found that there are currently a large number of spam emails being sent to Dreamersi users that are spoofing dreamersi.com, pspinc.com and dreamersi.net email addresses, many of them using the subject "Document 2" and including attachments. DO NOT OPEN THESE FILES. The files could contain viruses and malware that will negatively affect your computer or steal your personal information.
If you ever receive email from an address that seems different from what you're used to or includes an attachment that seems suspicious, please feel free to give us a call at 800-232-3989 or contact firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com to determine if the email is legit before opening any attachments. Please also note that PSPinc will never ask for your password over email.
We are currently working on blocking the IP addresses that are spoofing our email addresses and sending you spam. Please bear with us while we attend to this issue and if you have any questions or concerns about your account or an email you have received, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org or call 800-232-3989 for assistance.
PSPinc will be deploying an upgrade to the Dreamersi STMail servers on Friday, March 25th at 7:00am PDT (Friday, March 25th at 11:00pm JST). This upgrade will create redundancy between the servers, which will help ensure that Dreamersi email hosting customers won't lose any data in the event of an outage or interruption.
After we have deployed the upgrade, we will also be testing the system Friday afternoon at 12:30pm PDT (Saturday, March 26th at 4:30am JST). No emails will be lost and no downtime is anticipated during either action, but if you do experience any minor delays on Friday afternoon between 12:30pm and 1:00pm, the redundancy testing is likely to be why and service will resume normal operation shortly afterward.
If you have any questions or concerns about your Dreamersi email hosting, please contact email@example.com or call 425-957-0808 for assistance.
Dreamersi email servers received unusually large amounts of spam in the early hours of this morning. In order to reduce the spam reaching the email server, we turned the greylist on temporarily.
As of 9am PDT, the volume of spam being received has decreased and we have turned the Dreamersi greylist off. We will continue to monitor the traffic to the server.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact PSPinc's Support Team at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Thank you for your patience while we resolved this issue.
