Why do Japanese do not like number 4?

You have heard "4" is not a good number is Japan.

Here is the season why.

4 is pronounced "Yon" or "Shi"

死 (Kanji Word for "Death") is also pronounced "Shi"

This is the reason why some of the buildings (specially a hospital building) in Japan, do not have 4th floor.
