The Story of The Donkey and The Tiger
I found this story online about a donkey arguing with a tiger:
Donkey: The grass is blue.
Tiger: No, the grass is green.
Donkey: No, it’s not. It’s blue.
Tiger: Everybody knows it’s green.
The two then proceed to argue with each other. So, they decide to ask the lion, the king, to determine who’s right.
Donkey: My king, the grass is blue, isn’t it?
Lion: Yes, the grass is blue.
Donkey: See, Tiger? The grass is blue.
Donkey: King, please punish Tiger for saying the grass is green.
Lion: Okay. I’ll punish him.
Hearing this, the donkey leaves, relieved.
Tiger: My king, the grass isn’t blue, right?
Lion: You’re correct. The grass is green, not blue.
Tiger: Then, why did you tell Donkey it was blue?
Lion: What’s the point of telling Donkey the grass is green when we know he will never understand? Arguing with an opponent just to validate what you already know to be true wastes time. Tiger, you have more important things to do; stop wasting your time arguing with a fool.

You can still eat a noodle bowl (Udon or Soba) for 390 yen ($3.00) in Tokyo. What can you eat for $3.00 in the US? Forget higher wages, when the price off everything is expensive, it offsets all the money you can make. $3.00 bowl of noodle is in the middle of Tokyo. It is just amazing.

This was one of the dished they served at the restaurant I ate last night. This steak dish is for for two people. This was one of the 7 dished we enjoyed last night with my friend for over 25 years. I think Wagyu is not meant to be eaten like wester steak but Japanese small dish like this.

One of the best ways to control salt in Japan os to eat boiling pot dinner. Among the many boring pot dinners, one of the lowest salt dish is Shabu Shabu. Our partner is Japan, took me to a great Shabu Shabu restaurant near Tokyo Station.

PSPINC's Application Service
In my last newsletter, I talked about Pacific Software Publishing, Inc.’s support services. This time, I’d like to talk about some of our application services, which we offer in addition to our hosting and support services. Application services, also known as SaaS (Software as a Service), refers to Internet-based software. Here are all the application services we currently offer:
Click It Audio
This service embeds an audio file as a QR code or an icon on a website or blog. When a user clicks on the icon online, it plays the audio. By providing an audio link, you can convey your message through audio, especially if it seems like reading a lot of text is tedious.
With Click It Audio, you can also display the audio file as a QR code (see reference). When scanning it with a smartphone, it’ll play audio. You can even use these audio QR codes on product labels or business cards.
Pass Wizard
Pass Wizard is a password manager that stores your passwords, account numbers, passport numbers, and other sensitive information in the cloud with the highest encryption capabilities. You can store up to ten passwords for free.
Or you can upgrade to our Pro plan, where there isn’t a limit to the number of passwords you can store. Our Pro plan also gives you the ability to invite family and friends to your account. We’ve even reduced the fee for adding such members, and invitees can also store an unlimited number of passwords. In addition, the Pro plan offers even greater security with multi-factor authentication (MFA) either through SMS or an authenticator app.
You can access Pass Wizard through a browser, so you can use it on any PC, tablet, or smartphone connected to the internet.
NewsMAIL
NewsMAIL is a SaaS-type service to send email broadcasts, which PSPINC launched 26 year ago in 1997. There’s no need to purchase a package, and There is no need to purchase a package, and you can pre-purchase as many emails as you need to send, and send them out. It’s the oldest software we offer at PSPINC, and we still use it to send newsletters, like this newsletter you’re reading right now.
You can send NewsMAIL broadcasts as text, HTML mail types, or as designed templates. In addition, as a Spam countermeasure, we’ve included a one-click unsubscribe function to deal with fraudulent emails.
MegaMail
MegaMail is a large file transfer system package PSPINC launched in 2004. It’s now offered as a SaaS. This system combines email and file-transfer functions by storing files on a server and emailing the link to the destination to enable downloading. You can even also use the password functions for peace of mind.
Opinion Stand
Opinion Stand is PSPINC’s user opinion collection system. It can collect customer opinions on up to five levels, from 😡 to 😀. It then collects opinions and provide them as statistical data. Also, you can even collect information as a questionnaire at trade shows when you use Opinion Stand on a tablet.
ImaMenu
This is an online menu creation and display system that we created after getting customer requests. Web browsers can display the created menu, but it can also be opened with a QR code. In the future, we’d like to create online order capabilities and integrate with restaurants’ accounting systems (POS) as needed.
C-Sagaseru
This is a coach introduction system we launched 18 months ago in Japan. There are currently over 370 coaches registered. This system is versatile and currently operates another portal for hairdressers, we can customize it as an industry-specific referral system to suit your needs. We encourage coaches to register for the system, as well as those looking for coaches. There is no cost to contact or sign up as a coach. We hope you will take advantage of this system.
Those are all PSPINC’s SaaS products. You can sell these systems as a distributor or modify the system to provide services under your own label. Please contact me if you are interested.

It is an ancient symbol in the form of an equal-armed cross with each arm continued at a right angle, used especially in South Asia as a symbol of good luck or spirituality.

One of the most popular place to visit by foreigners in Japan is not a shrine or temple, or no historic places. It is a convenience store (one 24 hours). The concept has started in the US but it has grown in Japan. It is amazing how clean and orderly and inexpensive items are. I wish we had something like this in the US.

(1) Quarantine
(2) Immigration
(3) Custom
We must go to he website (visit Japan) to answer question to receive QR code for reach area. I did not het (1) so I had to be screened at the airport. It did not take to long sine I has both (2) and (3).

PSPINC’s Customer Support
In the last newsletter, I talked about Pacific Software Publishing, Inc.’s (PSPINC) hosting services. I hope you’ve learned we provide domain, web, mail, and VPS hosting services at our data center to our users in Japan and the U.S. This time, I’d like to talk about our customer support, which comes with our hosting services.
Which hosting service do you use? How do you contact your hosting company when you have problems or questions? Can you reach out to the company right away? Do you know who you’re talking to? And does the company know who you are? The larger the hosting service, the less personal the relationship will be.
When you work with PSPINC, you’ll never get a machine taking our call or email. Our support staff handles all customer communications. And we monitor our servers 24 hours a day seven days a week, even outside business hours. Our agents have our representatives’ contact information as well as support, so we’re ready to solve any problem quickly in case anything happens.
Our customer support isn’t limited to mechanical failures. We can also answer questions about how to use the system or help customers reset their passwords. In any case, you can always contact PSPINC for technical assistance. We can even help you move your site to one of our hosting services, which isn’t always a feature offered by other hosting companies.
For example, Wix customers can’t switch their websites to another company’s service. In a case like this, we can build a site similar to your current Wix site on PSPINC’s hosting platform, Dreamersi.com, and help with the transition. In addition, if you’ve created a WordPress website, we can also help migrate it to the most suitable WordPress hosting environment with your permission. This is just one part of our support services.
Today, I talked about PSPINC’s support services. We’re here to help you with anything from computer, internet, and/or smartphone setup to PC maintenance. Next time, I’ll tell you more about SaaS (Software as a Service).

My first computer when I started Pacific Software Publishing, Inc. was a Macintosh. For a few years I used Windows but I always came back to Macintosh. Macintosh computers are used to be very unstable often saw the bomb on the screen.
The current Macintosh is very stable compared to those days. I wonder how many of my Blood and SNS readers use Macintosh.

It is cheaper to buy rotisserie chicken at COSTCO than buying whole chicken. I heard COSTCO has never raised the price of $4.99 rotisserie chicken rice the beginning. That is just impressive. Amazon Fresh has rotisserie chicken for $4.97 but the size is about 2/3 of COSTCO rotisserie chicken.
When everything is becoming more expensive, it is important and keep price the same. I hope COSTCO will continue to honor this low price rotisserie chicken.

Next month on the 25th (the day after Russia's entry into Ukraine) will be one year since my liver surgery. Today I went for a liver checkup. I told the doctor that I was worried about the 1.5cm shadow found in last year's CT scan and that I had a pain under my right rib (above my side) since my last business trip to Japan.
Last year's CT scan revealed a 1.5 cm shadow.
1.5cm is too small and should not be touched especially now. I will have another Sontrast CT Scan next month to see if it has gotten bigger. She said that at this point, he doesn't know what it is, but that it is not large enough to be a concern.
I have pain under my right rib.
He said that this was probably due to pain from the scar from the surgery. However, when I told her that it was in a different place than the scar from the surgery, she said that there was nothing to worry about because the surgery was performed inside the abdomen, so it was not just a scar that could be seen from the outside. I had my blood drawn for a blood test to check liver function and cancer markers as well as to reconfirm the results.
In the end, they couldn't tell me anything but that there was nothing to worry about, especially now. This is my report of the results. I will report back when I get the results of the blood test. So, good health to all of you, I think I will be around for a while.

Every time there is some wind, power goes out.
What a weak infrastructure!
Our office lost power except our datacenter and network operation center have backup power generators. Generators kicked in and we are all okay.
However, my office lost power so I decided to go home.
Luckily, my house has power.

New Year's Greetings
Happy New Year! In the U.S., we came back to the office and started working again on Monday, January 2nd, as usual. I hope to make more people aware of Pacific Software Publishing Inc. and our activities and products this year. Therefore, in my first newsletter of the year, I’d like to give you an overview of our company.
In 1987, I founded Pacific Software Publishing Inc. (PSPINC) in Mercer Island, Washington, which is an island on Lake Washington between Seattle and Bellevue. When we started, we exported and converted U.S. software to Japan. Then we sold the software through our distributors in Japan. In 1996, we started specializing in internet hosting. In a nutshell, we’re a software development company that also operates an internet data center.
Web Hosting Business
We provide domain names, web hosting, email hosting, and virtual private server (VPS) hosting for our customers in the U.S. and Japan. In Japan, we have direct sales, but we also have a business partner, Otsuka Shokai, who sells our services as Alpha Mail 2. If you’re interested in hosting your website in Japan, please search "Alpha Mail2 jp" on Google. You can find "Alpha Mail 2" in Japan. In America and Canada, we provide web hosting under the name "Dreamersi.com".
Web Hosting Sub-Brands
PSPINC also has two sub-brands in the U.S., in addition to its main brands, Alpha Mail 2 and Dreamersi: ParcomWeb.com and YourHost.com. Parcom Web is a Linux-based, cPanel (management function), low-cost hosting environment that is used by many other web development companies in the U.S. YourHost’s web hosting offering is similar to Parcom Web. But customers that use VPS hosting as well as build and manage e-commerce sites(ShopSite.com) use YourHost web hosting.

It has been a while since I paid less than $4.00 per gallon for a gas. I filled up my car this morning at COSTCO ... the price was $3.599 ... Gas price is starting to get more reasonable.

It is partially cloudy new year day.
The first day came and went very quickly.
Days, weeks, Months and Years seem to go faster I get older.
However, 2022 was a log year fir me.
I am still recovering from everything that happened.
I just hope this year will be better than 2022.
