Email broadcasting ... Bad example

I just received an email (campaign broadcast email) using multiple TOs. I have not seen this for a while but I guess there are still some people do this.

What is wrong with this?

(1) I as one of the recipient of this email, I have access to all of the mail address of all other recipients.

(2) This shows that you are not careful about privacy.

(3) Your email server can be listed in backlist as a server that is used to SPAM people.

You should use the service that is design to broadcast email like www.newsmail2u.com. Ask for a demo account if you are not sure.

My camera is back from the repair

I made a scratch on the lens and it was showing on the picture I was taking. I sent it to Canon repair two weeks ago to get it repaired. It came back today and there was no charge.

They found something wrong with lens assembly and replaced the whole assembly including the lens. It was under warranty. I was expecting to pay over $100 for the repair, instead I got it back for free. I do know if there was something wrong with the assembly but it was nice of Canon to send it back to me for free.

I will recommend Canon if you are in the market for a camera.

There are many trails in Western Washington. Some of them are no farther than 10 minuets drive from my house. It is a very nice place t live.

But in the trail, there are several signs like this telling us it is still a natures ground and must be very careful.

Why Little Things Really Matter

Lets say you go into a restaurant and the food is good but the bathrooms kind of gross. Will you remember the food and forget the bathroom?

The way human memory works youre going to forget about the croissant and youre going to remember the bathroom and youre going to tell 10 friends. The truth of the matter is we remember the little stuff.

Walt Disney at Disney World and Disneyland has focused like the dickens on the parking lots and the parking lot attendants. Because the real hard research says we remember beginnings and we remember ends. Its not the theme ride at the beginning or the end its the kid in the parking lot. And if hes well trained and if he smiles and hes polite it makes an incredible difference.

Weve forgotten how important the little things really are. And in this age of the Internet we go around breathlessly saying, Everything has changed, nothing is the same as it ever was. And the little courtesies - the listening, apologizing when youre wrong, saying thank you, and having clean bathrooms ? and that is the differentiator.

Anybody who doesnt think that thoughtfulness, kindness makes a huge difference to their customers ? I pity those people!

Round of Golf in Less Than 3 Hours

I played at Aldarra today. I started 4:00pm and I was done at 6:50pm ... Yes I played 18 holes in 2 hours and 50 minuets. I this was the fastest round ever (walking).

Oh, I shot 42/50 of 92 today. It became very windy in the back 9.

When you watch infomercial on TV, you see many items being sold with free double offer by just paying separate shipping and handling. I sounded very good, so I check the price online to find out how much the shipping and handling was.

Well, to buy $39.99 knife set, you must pay $21.70 for shipping and handing and if you wish to get second pair FREE, you need to pay $21.70 again. That will make total price of $83.39.

On TV, it is advertised as $39.99 (three payments of $13.99) but the true cost is $52.69 (if you buy one), or $41.69/set if you want two.

Shipping and Handling are they key for hem to make money.

I am sorry about the quality of the picture here. But this is a great product. I alway loose one sock when I wash them. This product keeps them together in the washer and dryer.

Where in the world are we?

Today, I found out some of the Internet sites think we are not in the USA. I connect to Internet through an ISP called Above.net. But when I connect to the net, the IP addresses that we are using are recognized as non US origin.

This has no effect what so ever to the people and companies that we host. It is just people who work at PSPINC. We have open a trouble ticket to Above.net.

Old Seattle

I had meeting today in downtown Seattle near the International District. This area of the city is one of the oldest with old buildings. They are kind of nice to look at but i would not want to live there.

Also, some parts of downtown Seattle are very hilly.
