Getting Ready for the Restaurant Leadership Conference

thread
A preview of our pop-up bann... A preview of our pop-up banners you will find around the Restaurant Leadership Conference this month!
March 22nd - 25th / PHOENIX AZ
https://restaurantleadership.com

This year will be our first time attending the Restaurant Leadership Conference in Arizona. We will be displaying our Opinion Stand information gathering and marketing tool. Since the initial development of the Opinion Stand Kiosk system, we have made numerous upgrades and changes to make it extremely useful and powerful.

The current version version will run on any PC or tablet, treating it as if it were a Kiosk. We have also made a text/SMS and QR code-based system so that there is no need for a Kiosk if you choose to go without physical hardware. It lets you include a text or QR code on printable mediums such as poster, flyers, receipts, table tents, product packaging and much more. There is also a version of Opinion Stand that runs on your website allowing you to gather website visitor's opinions.

We have also upgraded the back-end statistics to provide more information on people’s reactions. The system can be used to run as a marketing option to gather people’s contact information.

We are still continuing to learn more ways to gather information. If you are coming to the Restaurant Leadership Conference, please look us up. If not please visit the Opinion Stand website at https://www.opinionstand.com.

Why your Business Needs a Help Desk

thread
image source: pilot.pspinc.com image source: pilot.pspinc.com
The point of Help Desk software is to help you provide better customer service more efficiently.

You can have wonderful, friendly and knowledgeable customer service representatives, but if they don’t know the first thing about a customer’s history of issues, calls or emails, you’re still going to run into unsatisfied, unhappy customers. In this day of social media, reviews and connectivity, you need to make sure your customers are spreading great feedback about your customer service, not the opposite.

How would you feel as a customer calling or emailing to follow up on an issue that wasn’t resolved, only to get a response from someone new who needs the whole background story again?

Help Desk eliminates this problem and PSP has the software to help you keep track and manage customer questions and issues efficiently. PSP Pilot acts a communal inbox for all your customer inquiries. This way your customer service representatives can easily access customer communication and quickly track and view all correspondence.

With PSP Pilot, there are no lost tickets or ghosted conversations – each employee with the proper credentials has access to a client page with the client's history.

POST IN HEAVEN

This website has no purpose ... or does it? When I lost my dog, Pompom, two years ago, I created a website to send message to him in Heaven. I made it as a pet project to learn PHP 7. I didn’t really need to learn PHP but I had a purpose. That purpose was to build that website.

I wanted to create a website that was designed for me to write anything I wanted and to post it nowhere. I can write anything without worrying about anyone seeing it except myself and Pompom in heaven. The source code has no functionality to save any messages you write. In addition, I purchased an SSL certificate to make sure your communication is also protected.

I did not make this site to make money. I just wanted to feel that Pompom is still with me. You are free to use this site and write anything you want. I assure you that I have no idea what you have written.

Just in case you would like to know, there is a site post counter that goes up by one when something is written. Currently there are more than 12,500 posts and that is not all me.

POST IN HEAVEN

FREE CRM Software for your Small Business

thread
image source: pilot.pspinc.com image source: pilot.pspinc.com
There’s no doubt about it: If you have customers, you should have a program for Customer Relationship Management (CRM).

To grow and scale, every company needs a process in place by which employees can follow. Good customer service, communication, and standardized internal processes will strengthen your business reputation and help you grow. These are all things that can be managed by a CRM.

PSP offers a service called PSP Pilot, which is a CRM software that automates and captures your customer data and tracks all communication. Our program eliminates the need for manual tracking in spreadsheets or files. It eliminates the need for a singular person to manage those files. And it eliminates the possibility of customer information getting lost or mismanaged.

Our cloud-based system is easily accessible to whomever is granted the right to view the data. We also offer premium add-ons such as tracking customer feedback and satisfaction.

Furthermore, this service is FREE to companies with less than 20 employees! Check out all the great features you can get with PSP Pilot and see how easy it is to sign up: https://pilot.pspinc.com/

YOURHOST NEO
Once upon a time there was a big gap between generations when it came to understanding digital technologies. It was called the “Digital Divide”. Since then, it appears that the division has shrunk. The fact is, the younger generation has grown older with more tech knowledge and with technologies becoming easier to use. So the gap seems to be smaller, but the fact is, you do not need to know as much about the tech anymore.

It is like when cars moved from manual transmission to automatic. It appeared that people were driving better, but in reality cars just became a whole lot easier to drive. Now cars are moving toward self driving... does that mean people are driving better? No, it just means that people are not in charge anymore. Instead of people using technology, people will become passengers.

When I design software and services, I want to make sure we can do as much as we can to free up your time but I always remember who is ultimately in charge. We try to make sure you make no mistakes but that you are free to try out anything. At the same time, when you become stuck, our customer support, and entire company for that matter, is behind you to help you get unstuck from any situation.

PSPinc is just releasing a new Web and Email Hosting Platform called YourHost Neo. This is like a 5 speed manual muscle car - how you drive it is up to you. It is pure muscle and no fat, I wish I could say that about myself.

Website Etiquette your Business Needs to Know

thread
image source: pixabay.com image source: pixabay.com
Last week we talked about the importance of having a company privacy policy visible to customers on your website. Today let’s discuss more etiquette to consider when it comes to your website:

1) Is your contact information easy for customers to find?

If you don’t have a customer service or info email on your homepage, have an online form for customers to fill out. It’s actually better to not list your email address on your homepage as spammers tend to grab those.

2) Does your website load quickly?

Do not load your website with too many images or videos. It won’t matter how pretty those images are if your website loads slowly, because people will not wait to see it. We are impatient beings and you can expect your bounce rate to skyrocket. Have a good balance of content and visual appeal without overdoing large files that slow down your load time.

3) Is it easy to navigate through the site?

Be kind to your visitors and make sure your navigation is easy to follow. You may know your business well but your visitors don’t, so be thoughtful when organizing your layout and navigation. It may be worth asking for some feedback from new customers to see how easy it was for them to navigate your site. Again, people have little tolerance and patience for getting lost online.

4) Have you tested your site?

The simplest way to make sure your website is user friendly is to test it with a focus group. Sometimes we’re “too close” to the product to understand how others experience it. Consider asking some outsiders (friends, family, business associates) to check your site and provide feedback so you can update accordingly.

If you would like a professional analysis of your website, contact us at PSPinc. We can do a free evaluation and give you some pointers for improvement. Contact us toll free at 1-800-232-3989.

OPINION STAND- DIRECT FEEDBACK FROM CUSTOMERS

Hello from Kobe, Japan. I am on a business trip to Japan and I will be back in Seattle next Monday. I will spend my last two days in Seoul, Korea. With this little trip to Korea, I was able to cut my business class airfare expense by more than 50%. I can explain it more to you if you would like.

Today I would like to talk to you about the product called “Opinion Stand”. This system allows you to receive direct feedback from your customers. You may have seen something like this before but we have taken it to the next level.

KIOSK : This is a tablet-based opinion gathering system. People can simply press one of the faces on the tablet to give their feedback.

PAPYRUS : This is a QR code-based opinion gathering system. With this version of the system you can add a QR code to your product packaging, receipt or marketing materials. People can easily scan the QR code to display Opinion Stand on their smartphones.

KUMO : This option allows you to add opinion gathering buttons to your website.

After a person clicks on a face icon, we can provide an option to display a survey for entering additional feedback. The survey can be customized in any way you want. We also provide a dashboard where you can access the results of peoples’ opinions to help you understand the trends and patterns.

Take advantage of Opinion Stand by collecting not only customer feedback but also their contact information through our custom forms. You can create online forms to gather more feedback from your customers. This information can be priceless for your future marketing campaigns.

You may be wondering what we have been working on recently. We just released a new text message feature for Opinion Stand Papyrus. Opinion Stand users can now define a unique text message code, and when a customer texts that code to a specific phone number they are provided a link to get to the Opinion Stand screen instantly. This provides yet another easy way to interact with the Opinion Stand. It is our attempt to make Opinion Stand more versatile and useful for your business.

Lastly, we will be displaying Opinion Stand at the Restaurant Leadership Conference ( https://restaurantleadership.com ) in Phoenix, Arizona from March 22nd - 25th this year. We believe this is a premier event for restaurant businesses. We must thank Mr. Lewis Rudd for letting us know about this conference.

Have a Privacy Statement for your Customers

thread
image source: pixabay.com image source: pixabay.com
California has a new law regarding how businesses can handle client data online. It’s called California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). EU countries implemented similar rules for handling private data a few years ago called General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

CCPA prohibits businesses from selling their client data. It is very specific about who this rule applies to: any company that operates in California and either makes at least $25 million in annual revenue, gathers data on more than 50,000 users, or makes more than half if its money off user data.

Even if you do not meet these thresholds, it’s important for your business to clearly inform customers how you manage their private information in your website’s privacy statement. A privacy statement explains how you conduct your business online and handle your customers’ sensitive information.

If you do not have a privacy statement, it’s good business practice to review your policies and make a statement publicly visible to your customers. After all, users are getting savvy and they want to know their data is stored safely.

If you are still unsure if any of this applies to your company, PSPinc can help you determine a plan for updating your site. Contact us toll free at 1-800-232-3989 and ask for assistance from our knowledgeable web hosting representatives.
