History of PSPinc’s Logo

thread
History of PSPi...
Vol. 4

Today let’s talk about the history of the PSPinc logo. A company logo gives people a first impression of what that company is like. It also tells a vivid story of the company’s philosophy.
PSP logo now

This is the current PSPinc logo. At first glance, the meaning looks a little bit vague, however, you will find the sloped spelling of PSP after taking a closer look. It was designed on purpose to convey the philosophy and history of PSPinc.

PSP logo before

This was the original logo from when PSPinc was first founded, which has a more intuitive design. Back in the late 1990s, PSPinc had been providing services targeting the Japanese market through retailers. It was requested by the retailers that the products be more like their branding, so the logo was changed to the current one and then placed on product packaging. Since that time, PSPinc’s President, Kenichi Uchikura, has held the philosophy that work should always be carried with pride and responsibility, even if it is not seen by other people.

After Mayumi Nakamura took the position of President in 2009, the「」were added to the logo to convey the meaning of “outside-the-box”. With the hope that more original ideas can surpass existing restrictions.

A quick fun fact about the company color of PSPinc. The idea of choosing a brick red color came from the university Kenichi Uchikura had previously attended.

All of that being said, you can learn about PSPinc by how the company logo has changed over the years.

PSP Children's Foundation 2020 Golf Tournament Canceled

No Golf This Year! PSP Childr... No Golf This Year!
PSP Children's Foundation
Annual Golf Tournament is Cancelled
March, 2020
PSP Children's Foundation 2020 Golf Tournament Canceled

It is with great regret that we inform you that we have decided to cancel the PSP Children’s Foundation 2020 Golf Tournament. Due to the global pandemic of Coronavirus (COVID-19) and in the interest of public health and the safety of our participants and sponsors we felt it was best to forego the 2020 event.

While the tournament will no longer take place this year, we still wish to support the Michael G. Foster School of Business at the University of Washington. We have created a donation button on our website (as well as provided it below) and would appreciate any contribution you are able to make at this time. 100% of the proceeds received will go directly to the Michael G. Foster School of Business at the University of Washington.

D O N A T E

We are disappointed that we will be unable to run this year’s tournament and provide a world-class golf experience you have come to know and expect. Thank you for your continued support and we will keep you informed about the 2021 schedule.

Sincerely,

Kenichi Uchikura

What can we help you with?

thread
What can we help you with?
I know many business owners, including myself, are under the stress of not knowing what is going to happen next. Today we learned that we can no longer travel overseas. Here are some things PSPinc can help you with at no cost.

Website Popup Message

Many retail businesses are hurting and now the travel industry is taking a big blow. If you need to modify the top page of your website to include a popup message regarding what you are doing, contact me. We will help you make one for free whether you are our customer or not.

Free VPN Setup

We can also help you set up VPN access for your company when you start allowing your staff to work from home. When you contact us, we will ask you few questions, suggest what you need to buy (if you are too far away for us to do on-site support) and set up the equipment for you to start utilizing a VPN. We will not charge you for this service.

If you are in need of anything, please call us. We are in this together.

Remote Work / Telework

thread
Remote Work / Telework
Vol. 3

It is getting to the point that we need to live with the Coronavirus rather than fight it for now. We need to be extra vigilant in keeping ourselves clean and stay away from large gatherings. At the same time, we cannot kill the economy that we have worked hard to build. No matter how much we do not want to get infected, soon or later someone (including yourself) will get infected with the Coronavirus. Let’s just hope that it will not lead to a worst case scenario.

To prevent spread many companies currently are, and will be, asking people to work remotely. If you need to access file servers at your office, you need to have what is called VPN (Virtual Private Network). A VPN allows you to access files and programs at the office as if you were physically present there. To do this, you need to have VPN hardware (typically a router) and your PC set up.

I have asked my company’s Customer Support team to provide this setup at no charge to customers as a community service. If you need help or advice on setting up a remote working environment, please call us. We are doing this to make sure our customers and employees will stay safe during this crisis.

If you need VPN help or advice, please call 425-957-0808 and ask for Customer Support. You can also send an email to support@pspinc.com .

Opinion Stand Text Message Feedback

thread
Opinion Stand Text Message Fe...
Vol.2

We developed the Opinion Stand as a way for business owners to determine what their customers think of their company and to gather contact information for marketing purposes. What sets Opinion Stand apart from traditional paper and online surveys is the ease-of-use and minimum required customer commitment to get true business insight. Meaning your customers will not have to invest a large amount of time to provide data critical to your business growth.

Opinion Stand Papyrus is a versatile application that puts the power of the Opinion Stand into your customer’s hands. You can print flyers, menus, table tents, and receipts with QR codes they can scan with their smartphones. From there they can do all of the Opinion Stand operations in the palm of their hands.

Previously users would need to scan a QR code to gain access to the Opinion Stand on their mobile device. Which is a fantastic and simple feature. Though if you were unfamiliar with QR code technology, it involves educating yourself a bit on it.

Since we are so focused on making this the absolute simplest and quickest way of gathering feedback from your customers, we are always thinking of new features to lean into that mindset.

With that in mind we just released the text message feature!

The vast majority of smartphone owners know how to send text messages, even if you are unfamiliar with QR codes. With Opinion Stand Papyrus you can now define a unique text code for each of your Stands. Simply add the text message code and the phone number to your print collateral and you are set! Customers can now text the code and instantly receive a reply with a link to the Opinion Stand.

Does this type of tool sound useful to your business? If so, please don’ hesitate to contact us. We would love the opportunity to learn more about your business and see if Opinion Stand is the right fit for you.

We are coming to the Restaurant Leadership Conference!

Hello there, this is Mayumi Nakamura, Director of Business Development here at PSPinc. You may have heard through our newsletters and social media channels that we will be attending the Restaurant Leadership Conference this year. I wanted to provide you with a bit more information regarding our involvement in the conference.

The Restaurant Leadership Conference will be held between March 22nd - 25th in Phoenix, AZ. It is an event where restaurant leaders will gather to learn about the trends in the industry.

I will be in attendance to showcase our Opinion Stands throughout the venue so these leaders will get a chance to provide their opinions on the conference itself. And obviously we will be showing off our latest features such as “text-to-give-feedback” and our latest stats enhancements during the Market Place exhibitions.

If you are planning to attend this show, please let us know. We would be delighted to meet you in person in Phoenix!

See you at the Restaurant Leadership Conference

thread
See you at the Restaurant Lea...
My name is Mayumi (pronounced “My, You, and Me” *smile*) and I wanted to introduce myself before we head to the Restaurant Leadership Conference. Our goal is to help you increase profits through positive word-of-mouth marketing and bringing in repeat customers. To do that, we’re bringing a system to RLC called Opinion Stand. You’ll see our kiosks at registration and throughout the conference for your feedback on RLC.

Opinion Stand works because it’s fast and easy for customers to select a rating and leave a comment:

Encourage repeat customers. Providing customers with a convenient way to communicate shows that you value their opinion and builds trust, which makes them more likely to visit again.

Increase positive reviews online. Opinion Stand offers a 1-click button to sites like Yelp so customers can boost your online reputation with positive ratings.
Collect criticism privately. Customers give you negative feedback directly instead of posting criticism online.

Please stop by booth #90 to say hello. We look forward to seeing you!

Getting Ready for the Restaurant Leadership Conference

thread
A preview of our pop-up bann... A preview of our pop-up banners you will find around the Restaurant Leadership Conference this month!
March 22nd - 25th / PHOENIX AZ
https://restaurantleadership.com

This year will be our first time attending the Restaurant Leadership Conference in Arizona. We will be displaying our Opinion Stand information gathering and marketing tool. Since the initial development of the Opinion Stand Kiosk system, we have made numerous upgrades and changes to make it extremely useful and powerful.

The current version version will run on any PC or tablet, treating it as if it were a Kiosk. We have also made a text/SMS and QR code-based system so that there is no need for a Kiosk if you choose to go without physical hardware. It lets you include a text or QR code on printable mediums such as poster, flyers, receipts, table tents, product packaging and much more. There is also a version of Opinion Stand that runs on your website allowing you to gather website visitor's opinions.

We have also upgraded the back-end statistics to provide more information on people’s reactions. The system can be used to run as a marketing option to gather people’s contact information.

We are still continuing to learn more ways to gather information. If you are coming to the Restaurant Leadership Conference, please look us up. If not please visit the Opinion Stand website at https://www.opinionstand.com.
