SHOWA AIRCRAFT INDUSTRY CO., LTD. receives Gold Boeing Performance Excellence Award!

Akishima-city, TOKYO, March 18, 2019 – SHOWA AIRCRAFT INDUSTRY CO., LTD. (Showa) today announces that it has achieved a 2018 Boeing Performance Excellence Award. The Boeing Company issues the award annually to recognize suppliers who have achieved superior performance. Showa maintained a Gold composite performance rating for each month of the 12-month performance period, from October 2017 to September 2018.

This year, Boeing recognized 380 suppliers who achieved either a Gold or Silver level Boeing Performance Excellence award. Showa is one of the only 82 gold suppliers to receive the Gold level of recognition.

In 1960, Showa started manufacturing honeycomb core and its application products, and has been a Boeing Galley supplier for its freighter program since 1990. This is the 3rd Gold performance award Showa receives starting in 2013.
