Thank you to Mr. Amano

Thank you to Mr. Amano
In response to the earthquake and tsunami that hit Japan in March, a father of a former student made a trip to Japan as a volunteer for the relief effort. He was kind enough to take the banner with our words of encourage and heartfelt messages with him on the trip. The banner was delivered to kindergarten and preschool children living in one of the many evacuation shelters. As a personal project, he asked the residents what they missed eating the most and when their answer was maguro (tuna), he took it upon himself to purchase and deliver their wish.

We are so grateful for his generous efforts in helping with the recovery. Thank you so much for delivering our message!

Donation for Earthquake in Japan

thread
Donation for Earthquake in Japan
It seems that the number of victims of the earthquake and tsunami which hit Japan last Friday is increasing.

We are going to ask for donation to help relieve the suffering of the people who have been affected by the disaster.
The box for the donation is set up until this Friday and taken care of by PTA. You also can donate through Seattle Japan Relief website ( http://seattlejapanrelief.org/ )to Red Cross and Peace Winds America.

Also, all the sales from the To Go Bento sold at our Bellevue branch and food fundraising effort (next two weeks) are going to be dedicated to donation.
What each individual can do may look small, but together we can make the small contribution by individuals something really powerful and meaningful.
Please put orders for our To Go Bento as well.

We really appreciate your support in this critical time.
