日本100名城に登録されてる大分市の中心地にある　『府内城（ふないじょう）』　（大分市荷揚町）

廻りは大分県庁、大分市役所、大分合同新聞本社、中央郵便局、教育会館等政治経済の中心地です。

【府内城】
　　安土・桃山時代、1597（慶長2）年に福原直高が築城！
　　江戸時代に竹中重利が増改築を行い、1602（慶長7）年に完成！
　　天守丸は国宝姫路城と同じ構造と広さ（1500平方メートル）でした！
