知人のA子さんや、お母さんが「居合」をやっていることは知っていましたが、「刀で藁人形を切るんだっけ？」という程度の認識でした。
動画を見て、A子さんの凛々しい姿に感激。いや、いや、いや、これはすごい！！！
京都三十三間堂で、毎年新春に行われる「通し矢」の精神性について書いたばかりですが、「居合道」もすごいですね。
「居合道の精神性はなんじゃろな」と思って、居合道の公式サイトに行ってみました。
■古来「剣の道は人を殺す事を目的とするに非ず、人を活かすものでなければならない」とされ、その刀法と身体の運用を練磨すると共に「鞘の中」の精神を修養することが第一義であるとされ、究極は人格の養成であり、和の追求であると教えられている。
〇居合の至極とは、「常に鞘の中に勝を含み、刀を抜かずして天地万物と和する」にあり。
〇「形より心に入り、技によりて心を養う」道である。
〇人と争って勝つ事よりも、技と心の修業による人間としての道徳観念を身につけ、戦わずして人を制し、絶対の勝利、和を極める事を究極の目的とするもの。
くぅっっ～！！ 奥が深いですね、居合道の精神は、戦わないで人を制し、和を極める「絶対の勝利」なのですね。
悪口になりますが、勝ったぞとガッツポーズをして、くるくるその場を回る「柔道」は、自分はきらいですね。

あ、今「柔道」は「JUDO」でスポーツだからOKですね。
武道では「敗者をいたわる」という思想があるからとも言います。
剣道のガッツポーズは、反則ですよね。
映画「はじまりはヒップホップ」と居合道の精神性、この2つの話題で、私は本当に刺激を受けました。

The aim is to control others without fighting, achieve absolute victory, and master harmony.
The profound nature of Iaido's spirit lies in the concept of achieving "absolute victory" by controlling others without engaging in combat and mastering harmony.
