Welcome New President Kelly Cudworth

thread
Welcome New President Kelly ...
Kelly Cudworth of NuLeaf Office Solutions addressed Seattle Execs on January 6 for the first time as President of the Association.

Here are some excerpts from his speech -

"When looking out in the room of so many past presidents and longtime members, I see individuals who have given time and energy to create and maintain such a strong and traditional organization that has now given so much to me and created so many opportunities for me personally and professionally."

"I’m asking all the members to “Step back up” and give just 10% more. If you haven’t been on a committee, attended an open house, sat with different members, or reached out to one or two members you don’t already know in their your own network in the past 6-12 months, [then do it now,] just put in 10% more."

"The 10% can be just recording leads, connecting with one or two new members a month, sitting with unique and different members."

"If we can move the activity needle of this group by just 2-3 clicks and 10% more, the amount of opportunity we will create and maintain alongside a very healthy and active market can create so much opportunity for all of us."

Seattle Represents at International Exec

thread
Seattle Represents at Internatio...
Seattle Execs made a great showing earlier this month at the 2015 International Executives Association Leadership Conference in Las Vegas. IEA President, Lisa Woodstock of Woodstock Media Group, welcomed over eighty delegates from Execs chapters across the country and Canada Tuesday morning and supporting her was George Vestal of McDonald Employment Services, one of the IEA Board Members.

Two of the conference sessions featured speakers were Adam Broetje of Odd Dog Media who talked about online Marketing for Local Business and John Backstrom of http://www.skyline.com/seattle-wa-alaska/">Skyline PacificNorthwest who address Effective Tradeshow Strategies.

Delegates also included Patricia Bennett of PC Bennett Solutions (also a conference sponsor!), Tom Broetje of CFO Selections, Mayumi Nakamura of Pacific Software Publishing and SEA Executive Director, Melissa Bell .

In addition to networking and educational breakout sessions, the conference program included two motivational speakers. Johnny Campbell, The Transition Man, spoke about The 21st Century Leader and John Coyle, former Olympic silver medalist winner shared his experiences in learning How to Unwind Cognitive Time and Live Forever.

Next year’s conference will be in San Francisco, sponsored by the Executives Association of San Francisco. They will be celebrating their 100th Anniversary and the conference theme will be The Power of Networking Past & Present. This will be another opportunity to show Seattle’s strength and support. José Gaitàn Addresses SEA

thread
Guest speaker J... Guest speaker José Gaitàn with SEA President Mayumi Nakamura and Ralph Bruksos
At our October 14 luncheon, SEA welcomed José Gaitàn as a speaker. He spoke about the "Power of Pebbles".

As we heard, José had a upbringing that was dotted with incredible family challenges. He was able to rise above his situation through the benevolence of many individuals. It was their interest in caring that made a difference in his life.

He compared their caring to ripples in a pond. Each pebble of caring in his life rippled out and caused other ripples to develop to change his life. He asked Execs to cast out their own pebbles and see how the ripples make a difference in other’s lives.

Thank you Ralph Bruksos of Training Consultants Company for introducing José to Execs. All in the room with never forget his personal story and how important ripples are.
