Today we have several updates for Clocklink.

Finally, we have updated the recent hover button feature of the HTML5 clocks. They should now more closely resemble their FLASH clock counterparts!

Pasting a Clock on a Secure Website

How do you paste a clock on a secure website?
Before placing a clock on a secure web page you will need to modify the HTML tag.

1. First, change http://www.clocklink.com to https://secure.clocklink.com

2. If you are using the <script> embed method, you must also change obj=new Object; to obj=new Object;obj.ssl="1";

Migration to HTML5 has begun!!!

Migration to HTML5 has begun... Microsoft (IE 10) and Apple (iOS Devices) are forcing us to migrate from Flash to HTML 5. They are calling it resource and security issue. We think it is more to do with politics since Flash is owned by Adobe and HTML 5 is a public domain or Open.

Is HTML 5 better than Flash?

We are not in the position to argue but the fact remains Flash is being forced out of the computer and smartphone devices. We must recognize the change and adopt to it. We have started migrating ClockLink Flash based clocks to HTML 5 and we will no longer develop Flash contents.

HTML 5 HTML 5 In 2013, we will be converting all our ClockLink clocks to HTML 5 instead of Flash. This is a huge undertaking but it will allow our clock to work on Windows 7 and 8 and iOS and IE 10.
