Incident Report (DI Mail Service, Website Access)

1:30am Jan 3rd - 9:00am Jan 3rd, 2021 PST / 6:30pm Jan 3rd - 2:00am Jan 4th JST.

Due to a switch failure, DI mail, webmail, and web services were very difficult or impossible to connect.

It has been recovered and we confirmed it is working fine now.

The HTTP service on several of our web servers went offline at midnight. All were recovered within 15 minutes.

One server had a second issue, and was offline for about 10 minutes between 12:25 and 12:35.

SMTP PROBLEM

SMTP PROBLEM
Due to the fiber cut reported by CenturyLink, some customers are currently experiencing SMTP failure (inability to send email). We are working to mitigate the problem. Until there is a solution, we are asking our customers to use WebMail by logging into https://dreamersi.com.

The email sending is not affected when you use dreamers WebMail.

2020年8月26日午後6時 PDT/8月27日午前10時 JST、DIメールサービスに不具合が発生しており、一部のユーザー様でメールの送信ができない状況が発生しております。(メールの受信は正常に動作します。)

本インシデントの根本的原因として、ネットワークプロバイダーの誤作業によるネットワークケーブル断線が確認されており、復旧に数時間はかかる見込みです。

Webメールからのメール送信が可能であることを確認しておりますので問題が解決するまでの間、回避策としてWebメールをご利用ください。

2020年8月26日午後7時 PDT/8月27日午前11時 JST、
ネットワークプロバイダーによるネットワークケーブル断線復旧に少なくとも4時間はかかることを確認しております。

2020年8月26日午後8時 PDT/8月27日午後12時 JST、
ネットワークプロバイダーがネットワークケーブル断線復旧に必要な部品を取得中であることを確認しております。

2020年8月26日午後10時 PDT/8月27日午後2時 JST、
DIメールサービスの皆様がメールの送受信ができることを確認いたしました。

この度はご迷惑をおかけして大変申し訳ございませんた。

Currently (As of 6:00pm Aug 26 2020 PDT/ 10:00am Aug 27 JST), there is a problem on DI email service, and some users cannot send out emails. (Receiving emails works fine.)

It has been confirmed that the root cause of this incident was a broken network cable caused by a network provider's error, and it is expected to take several hours to recover.

It is confirmed that emails can be sent out from webmail, so
please use webmail for workaround until it is fixed.

Aug 26, 2020 7pm PDT/Aug 27, 11am JST,
We have confirmed that it will take at least 4 hours for the network provider to restore the network cable.

Aug 26, 2020 8pm PDT/Aug 27, 12pm JST,
We have confirmed that the network provider is waiting for some parts required to restore the network cable.
Again, It is confirmed that emails can be sent out from webmail, so please use webmail for workaround until it is fixed.

Aug 26, 2020 10pm PDT/Aug 27, 2pm JST,
We have confirmed the email can be sent/received correctly.
