New Sculpture for Seattle's Water Front
Tim Sharp of Iron Design Center was the first of several artists commissioned to create a sculpture for Waterfront Park (just south of Seattle Aquarium). Tim's sculpture is in place and ready for us all to see. It is an 18' tall, metal, brightly painted nautical sculpture that depicts many underwater creatures found in Puget Sound ? a pink octopus, squid, jellyfish and crab, several fish and gulls, flowing seaweed -- even some pirate's booty. Congratulations, Tim!
"You don't really realize what's going on under the water," says artist Tim Sharp of the Iron Design Center. "The seaweed down there and all the other sea life is really awesome. I think this kind of represents what's right in front of you that you don't really get to appreciate." Quoted from Q13 Fox News
Tim would like give special thanks and recognition to Josh Miller of Wire Craft Electric who completed all the wiring and electrical requirements for the project.
