Be my Valentine!
今日は、バレンタインディ目前！ということで、バレンタインに使える表現をご紹介します♪
お菓子業界に乗せられて（？）、本命チョコやら、義理チョコ、逆チョコ、友チョコ、といろいろ名付けられて売られていますが、こういうときじゃないと買わない高級チョコを買ったりして楽しんでいる女性も多いのでは？
今年はそのチョコレートに、メッセージカードも添えて渡してみましょう♪

ベラベラクラス：レポート
「間違っていてもたくさん英語で話す機会が多くなったので、抵抗がなくなりつつあります。」と今週もうれしい感想をいただきました＾＾
そう、ほんとうに間違えないと覚えないし自分のものにならないので、どんどん話して間違えて訂正して、を繰り返していってくださいね！
それでは今週のフレーズです！
◆Beginner class◆
・once in a week/2 weeks/3 weeks /a month ... etc１週間／２週間／３週間／１ヶ月などに一回
・twice/3 times/4 times etc in a week １週間に２回／３回／４回など
・Satoshi inspired me to start learning English.サトシがきっかけで英語の勉強を始めました。
・I sometimes go to ___.たまに＿＿＿へ行きます。
・It's difficult to proounce English sounds that we don't have in Japanese.日本語にはない英語の発音は難しい。
・Practice makes perfect. I hope my English is improving, even a little.練習あるのみ。少しでも上達できるといいな。
・I always/often/sometimes/rarely/never eat bread for breakfast.朝食でパンを いつも／よく／たまに／ほとんど／まったく 食べる（食べない）。

・When I cook tempura I can't fry it crispy. So my tempura is not delicious.私が天ぷらを揚げるとカラッと揚がらないので、おいしくないです。
・I add coco milk as a hidden flavour to the curry at the end. Then the taste not only becomes spicy but also sweet. The sweetness comes into the mouth.最後に隠し味としてカレーの中にココナッツミルクを入れます。そうすると辛い味のなかに甘さも出て、甘みが口に広がります。

２月３日節分
鬼は外！福は内！豆をまかねば。
"Devils out! Good luck in!!" でも "Goblins out! Fortune in!!"でもOK♪
英語にするとなんだかカッコイイ。
年の数だけ豆を食べると無病息災に。
People eat the same number of beans as their age to wish for good health.
恵方巻きを食べるときは、その年の恵方（今年は東北東？）を向いて一気に食べないといけないです。食べ終わるまでは話し手は行けなくて、もし話してしまうと幸運が逃げてしまいます。
When you eat eho maki (sushi roll), face the lucky direction of the year, eat the entire roll without stopping. You should not speak until you are finished with the roll. It's said that fortune will be gone if you speak.
むせるのはアリですかね？
携帯の電源も切っておいたほうがいいですよね。

Berabera Class report
早いもので、１月のベラベラクラスが終わり、２月へ突入です。
「回を重ねるごとにみんなの話す量が増えて会話が楽しいです！」という感想いただきました♪うれしいですね。Debbieも喜んでいました。
ところで言いたいことが増えて行くと、逆に言いたいことを日本語で考えてしまって英語に直せず話せず、、、という悔しい思いもすることが多くなっていると思います。
特に日本語の会話ではなくても通じる”主語”。これは英語には必須です。省略できません。
主語に気をつけて話すとベラベラにまた一歩近づきますよ！

・ I'm busy at the end of the/every month because I have to collect my clients bills/bills from my clients and I have to achieve my monthly quota. 取引先に集金に行ったり、ノルマを達成しなければならないので、月末は忙しい。
・ Did I do anything wrong? / Did I do something bad? 何か悪いことしたかなぁ。
・ Should I open a curry shop/restaurant? カレー屋でも開くべき？
・ I had nothing special to talk about this week, but I needed to tal about something... / but I needed to find something to talk about...今週は特に変わったことはなかったけど、強いて言えば。。。

・May I ask you a private question? プライベートなことをお聞きして申し訳ありませんが。。。
※このとき、May I ..?で聞いてもいいかどうかを相手に聞いてからのほうがより丁寧です。相手が嫌であれば"No."と答えられて、相手の気分を害すこともないです。
・My company has production plants in UK. 私の会社はイギリスに生産工場があります。
「わたしの会社」という時に、「自分が経営している会社」なのか「私が働いている会社」なのか、を明確に伝えたいときは、前者：I am the owner of ___ company. My company is ..... と前置きをしてからMy company ..と続けます。
後者の場合でも同様に、 I work for/at ___ company. My company is ...と、まず○○で働いてます。私の会社は。。。と続きます。

ひとこと英語： take a page out of history
きょうご紹介するのは、Take a page out of historyです。
意味は、「過去から学ぶ」。
This expression refers to leaning from history; learning from someone else's experience.
a. The solution doesn't require rocket science. All we have to do is take a page out of history.
b. The fleet admiral won the battle by taking a page out of history.
c. If you want to succeed in politics you'd better take a page out of history.
a. その解決にはロケットの科学なんていらない。過去から学ぶべきだ。
b. 海軍元帥は過去から学んだおかげで戦いに勝った。
c. 政治の世界で成功したいなら、過去から学んだほうがいい。
