今私はリーダーシップトレーニングを受けています。21年間何も誰からも学ぶことなく会社を経営してきましたが、こうやって学ぶことでより良いリーダーとして大きくなった会社を育ててゆかないとと考えています。

このリーダーシップトレーニングの第1章で、会社のコアバリュース(複数なのでスをつけています)を明確にするというのがあります。私の会社のコアバリュースは何だろう。皆さんも皆さんの会社のコアバリュースが何か考えてみてください。

コアバリュースとは、会社の骨子、真髄、で会社の存在価値を意味づける価値観の事です。例えば「誰よりも安く商品を販売する」「返品はどんな理由でも受け付ける」「技術革新をし続ける」「お客様はいつも正しい」とか色々な考えがあると思います。私も今、私の会社のコアバリュースが何か考えています。結構、このエクササイズは楽しいですよ。

ちなみに下記は米国で一番成長しているスーパーマーケットのホールフーズがかかげているコアバリュースです。

* 最も品質の高い自然でオーガニックな製品を販売する。(Selling the Highest Quality Natural and Organic Products Available)
* 顧客を満足させ喜ばせる。(Satisfying and Delighting Our Customers)
* スタッフの幸せと向上心をサポートする。(Supporting Team Member Happiness and Excellence)
* 利益と成長から資産を生み出す。(Creating Wealth Through Profits & Growth)
* 環境と地域社会を考慮する。(Caring about our Communities & Our Environment)
* サプライヤーと双方に利益のあるパートナーシップを生み出し・継続する。(Creating ongoing win-win partnerships with our suppliers)

企業経営・リーダーシップは、今自分がどこにいて、どこに行きたいかと言うことを明確にすることから始まるようです。一歩後ろに立って自分の現状を把握することも大切と言うことを今学んだところです。

General Motors のコアバリューを検索しました。サイトには2006年のものしか出ていません。それから何も変わっていないのか、もう手もつけられていないのか???

IBM のコアバリュースは、下の3つ。シンプルですがパワフルだと思います。



* Dedication to every client's success
