Take away the stone.”
“Did I not say to you that if you would believe you would see the glory of God?” と。
Mark 9:2-4 “And after six days Jesus taketh with him Peter, James, and John, and leadeth them up into an high mountain apart by themselves: and he was transfigured before them. And his raiment became shining, exceeding white as snow, so as no fuller on earth can white them. And there appeared unto them Elias with Moses: and they were talking with Jesus.”
Mark 9:7 “And there was a cloud that overshadowed them: and a voice came out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear him.” There is a strong indication from the Father himself about his Son as Messiah.
Deuteronomy 18:15 “The Lord thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of my brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall hearken”
3.Triumphal Entry into Jerusalem - the Jews Couldn’t see what Jesus meant to them
Mark 11:1-10
“And when they came nigh to Jerusalem, unto Bethphage and Bethany, at the Mount of Olives, he sendeth forth two of his disciples, And saith unto them, Go your way into the village over against you: and as soon as ye be entered into it, ye shall find a colt tied, whereon never man sat; loose him, and bring him. And if any man say unto you, Why do ye this? Say ye that the Lord hath need of him; and straightway he will send him hither. And they went their way, and found the colt tied by the door without in a place where two ways met; and they loose him. And certain of them that stood there said unto them, What do ye, loosing the colt? And they said unto him even as Jesus had commanded: and they let them go. And they brought the colt to Jesus, and cast their garments on him; and he sat upon him. And many spread their garments in the way: and others cut down branches off the trees and strewed them in the way. And they went before, and they that followed, cried, saying, Hosanna; Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord: Blessed be the kingdom of our father David, that cometh in the name of the Lord: Hosanna in the highest.”
Zechariah 9:9
“Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy King cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly and riding upon a donkey and upon a colt the foal of a donkey.”
Luke 19:39-40
“And some of the Pharisees from among the multitude said unto him, Master, rebuke thy disciples. And he answered and said unto them, I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out.”
4.The Moneychangers cleared from the Temple to Make way for Jesus’ redemption of Mankind
Mark 11:15-18
“And they come to Jerusalem: and Jesus went into the temple, and began to cast out them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves; and would not suffer that any man should carry any vessel through the temple. And he taught, saying unto them, Is it not written, My house shall be called of all nations the house of prayer? But ye have made it a den of thieves. And the scribes and chief priests heard it, and sought how they might destroy him: for they feared him, because all the people was astonished at his doctrine.”
“Father, if it is Your will, take this cup away from Me
nevertheless not My will, but Yours, be done.
Angel’s encouragement
43 Then an angel appeared to Him from heaven, strengthening Him.
Sleeping from sorrow – the worldly sorrow makes your spirit sleep
45 When He rose up from prayer, and had come to His disciples, He found them sleeping from sorrow. 46 Then He said to them, “Why do you sleep? Rise and pray, lest you enter into temptation.”
10 For godly sorrow produces repentance leading to salvation, not to be regretted; but the sorrow of the world produces death.
