トヨタクラウンの燃費にびっくり。

現時点で１ガロン３５．８マイル、それはリッター１５．２ｋｍ’と言う値。以前乗っていた Subaru Outback 3.6R は、２０マイル、１０ｋｍそこそこだったので、クラウンの燃費の良さがわかる。割と馬力の多い車に持ってきた私はクラウンの乗り換えたときに遅いとは言わないがガッツのない走りだと落胆したけど、最近それにも慣れてこんなもので十分と思えてきた。クラウンだけに乗り心地は悪くはない。

それにしてもまだ私はわたしのクラウン以外１台しか見たことがない。私は他人と違うことが好きだからこれが結構嬉しいのだが・・・クラウンはなぜアメリカで売れないのか不思議だ。でも多分この価格帯になると編める歌人は便利で居住性の高い SUV に乗るのだと思う。

I'm surprised by the fuel efficiency of the Toyota Crown. Currently, it's getting 35.8 miles per gallon, which is about 15.2 kilometers per liter. Comparing it to my previous car, the Subaru Outback 3.6R, which got around 20 miles per gallon or 10 kilometers per liter, really highlights the Crown's efficiency. When I first switched to the Crown, I was a bit disappointed by its lack of power compared to the relatively high horsepower of my previous car. However, I've grown accustomed to it recently and now find it adequate. The Crown's ride comfort is also not bad.

Still, I've only seen one other Crown besides mine. I enjoy being different from others, so I find this quite pleasing. I wonder why the Crown doesn't sell well in America. Perhaps in this price range, people prefer the convenience and high livability of SUVs.
