今確認したら、日本円がついに160円の大台に乗っていた。140円の時に騒ぎ、150円の時に大騒ぎして、ついに160円の大台に乗ってしまった。日本政府自体は、多分これが問題だとは感じていないのではないだろうか。円安がここまで進むと困るのは、日本に輸入している商品の価格だ。反対に、日本から海外に出している製品に関しては、ドル建てなどで行っている場合、非常に利益が大きくなる。これは、日本政府が国民の物価よりも大企業の利益を大切だと思っているという意味ではないだろうか。反対に、日本にものを売っている会社にとっては非常に問題が起きる可能性がある。我々もはっきり言って苦しい。

 

When I checked just now, the Japanese yen had finally reached the significant milestone of 160 yen. There was a fuss at 140 yen and an uproar at 150 yen, and now it has finally hit 160 yen. I doubt that the Japanese government itself sees this as a problem. When the yen weakens to this extent, the issue lies in the prices of goods imported into Japan. On the other hand, for products exported from Japan in terms of dollars, the profits become significantly larger. This suggests that the Japanese government might prioritize the profits of large corporations over the cost of living for its citizens. Conversely, companies that sell products to Japan may face significant problems. Frankly speaking, it is tough for us too.
