東京に到着して4日目の朝を迎えました。昨日はゴルフに誘っていただき非常に楽しい時間でしたが、体力的にも限界です。あと汗をかくと言うレベルではなく、着ている服がびちゃびちゃになると言う感じ…あまり気持ちよくないですが、運動したという感じはします。でも体力はアウト。ホテルに帰ってくると、ホテルの前の道をお祭りの人が歩いていました。この人たち暑くないのかな〜〜〜。

ホテルに帰ってきて、シャワーを浴びて着替えて日本出張ではあまりしないのですが、持ってきたもの全てホテルのコインランドリーで洗濯しました。結局疲れていたので、昨日の夕食は抜きで、今朝がっつりホテルのバイキングで朝食をしました。ニューオータニや帝国ホテルのようなすごいバイキングではないのですが、充分おいしい食事をさせていただいています。今日も暑い1日になりそうです。今日の予想最高気温は33度で昨日も同じ位だったと思います。日本の皆さんはこれでも少し涼しくなったんだと言っておられます。絶句

It’s the morning of my fourth day in Tokyo. Yesterday, I was invited to play golf, and while I had a great time, I’m completely exhausted. It wasn’t just a matter of sweating—it felt like my clothes were soaked through. Not the most pleasant feeling, but at least I got a good workout in. Still, I’m totally out of energy. When I returned to the hotel, I saw people from a local festival walking down the street in front of the hotel. I couldn’t help but wonder how they weren’t feeling the heat!

After getting back, I took a shower and changed. Though I don’t usually do this on my business trips to Japan, I ended up washing everything I brought with me at the hotel’s coin laundry. I was so tired that I skipped dinner last night and had a hearty breakfast at the hotel buffet this morning. While it’s not as extravagant as the buffets at Hotel New Otani or the Imperial Hotel, the food is still more than satisfying.

It looks like today is going to be another hot day. The forecast says the high will be 33°C, which was about the same as yesterday. The locals here say it’s cooled down a bit, which left me speechless!
