PayPal and eBay

PayPal and eBay
Some of you do not this but eBay started PayPal service as secure way to transfer money between setters and buyers. But now PayPal is separating itself from eBay and will operate as a secure payment service.

PayPal is also contributed to many new ventures. Those people who started new ventures from PayPal are called PayPal Mafia. Here are some people and vetoers started by PayPal Mafia.

Reward

thread
Reward
I heard it somewhere "the reward for your hard work is harder work."
It is so true. Until you quit, you are always ask to do more of harder things.
But that is not a punishment, that is your reward.

Do you agree?

Back in 1985

thread
Back in 1985
When I came to Seattle as a General Manager of Japanese computer software company, I opened the office in Bellfield Office Park in Bellevue. Today, I walked the very park with Pompom and found the evry offuice building I was in almost 30 years ago.

I had offuce here until 1987, just before I started Pacific Software Publishing, Inc. This is where I have lerned to hire and managepeople ... At the end I learned to fire 17 people and closed the company. I don't want to do that again.

1309 144th Ave SE, Bellevue, WA 98004 ... I still remember the address.

Tropicana Motel and Motor Lodge

thread
Tropicana Motel and Motor Lo... Tropicana Motel and Motor Lo... Tropicana Motel and Motor Lo... Tropicana Motel and Motor Lo...
This is Tropicana Motel and Motor Lodge in West Hollywood.

It was on Santa Monica Blvd. This was the very first hotel/motel I stayed when I came to study in the US back in 1978. Every morning, I woke up to the smell of coffee and butter. That was the America. I did not speak a word of English but somehow I manage to stay alive, went to school, graduated. It's good to find some pictures of where everything started.

This is just crazy stupid.

thread
This is just crazy stupid.
I received the King Country Valet today asking for approval to purchase and upgrade emergency radio system for the country. It will add $0.07/$1,000 to your property tax.

Here are the things that I thought;

- King County printed and mailed tens of thousands of valets to people. How much did it cost to do that?

- It will cost me postage to send this valet back to the election office. How much money is that for everyone?

- It will tax the people who own property in King County, yet this valet is sent to everyone who lives in KC whom may just rent. Why should people who are not affected by this tax have any say about it.

- The wording is that it will add $0.07/$1,000 … If you own a house that is worth $300,000 (about the average house in KC) will cost you $27.00. That sounds a lot higher than $0.07/$1,000 …

- How much is the radio anyway?

This should be a part of on going maintenance and upgrade … they just spent everything they had and now asking people to pay for the replacement. That's just simple mismanagement.
