Yes, there are graffitis in Japan as well. Japanese likes to imitate US ... I guess.
Mayumi Nakamura was elected to be a Treasurer of Seattle Executives Association starting June 1, 2011. Congratulations!
My daughter is starting her study in Berlin, Germany this summer and she is flying out today. I left my home when I was 18, so I can not really have any reason to sop her. I just wish her luck. See you in eighty some days.
I am back in Seattle today. What I learned in Tokyo is interesting. People do not trust Japanese government or TEPCO (Electric Company) to tell then the truth about nuclear disaster. So they are looking at two things. The Emperor and American Embassy in Tokyo.
If those two move out of Tokyo, they think it is time for them to escape.
This sign at Shinagawa station is telling people, TEPCO (Tokyo Electric Co.) is operating at 74% capacity. Today was not hot at all, so it will be difficult when hot summer comes to Tokyo.
I found those in front of very busy railroad station (Shinagawa).
Can you guess what those are?
The answer is in the comment.
The Grand Prince Hotel in Akasaka (pictured) closed at the end of March this year and is scheduled for demolition this summer. But until then, it is converted as a shelter for people evacuated from the earthquake, tsunami and nuclear power plants.
I used to stay at this hotel and it is sad to hear that it will be demoed. But I am happy to hear it has the very important final mission.
One of the things that you love about Japan is so called "B Class Gourmet". Ramen is one of them. Tonight I ate "油そば" Oil Noodle. I have never had this before. You mix soy sauce base sauce and chinese hot oil and vinegar. It tastes very different but good.
For 12,000yen (about $15), you can get some of the best sushi for lunch in Tokyo. This restaurant is called Kappa Sushi in Okachimachi.
The building you see with the golden "whatever it is" is one of the many landmarks in Tokyo. It is a part of Asahi Beer Company ... or is it?
