白い彼岸花
The white spider lilies bloomed nearly two weeks late this year, but they’ve finally
reached their peak.
I started harvesting persimmons, though today was only about removing defective
fruit.
They still feel a little unripe. Unfortunately, the majority of the defective ones are split,
most likely due to the intense heat (sigh).
今年は彼岸花の開花が二週間近く遅かったです、ようやく見頃になりました。
柿の収穫を始めましたが、今日は不良果実の除去のみ、やはりまだ少し青い感じ。
しかし、不良品は圧倒的に身割れが多く、この暑さのせいです（涙）

2025年カレンダー海外発送
2025年のカレンダーの海外発送を始めました。
大量送付は米国向けで大小10本をおくります、流石に重量があるので船便です。
米国は、郵便事情が悪く、途中で紛失したり、かなりの時間遅延があります。
このため、この時期の発送になります。
途中紛失の事故防止には不着時返送希望を入れることです、これを「破棄」にすると
事故率があがります。

雷ガード（サージプロテクター）
やっと雷のシーズンも終了したかに見えますが、LAN回路では雷被害は直撃でなくても
意外に影響を受けます、誘電雷と呼ばれるもので近隣に落雷した場合でも、この
誘電雷はLANケーブル（特に横引き）に、異常電圧を発生させ、接続してある機器を
簡単に破壊します。
多くの機器は内部基盤の交換を余儀なくされ、大半は廃棄処分の憂き目をみます。
この誘電雷は電源回路に侵入する場合よりも、LANケーブルが被害を受けます。
特に建屋と建屋を空中架線で接続する場合に被害が発生します。
これを防止する機能があるのが、写真のサージプロテクターです。
しかし、重要な注意点があります、それはこの機器の赤丸のアース端子を必ず、
信頼出来るアース端子に接続することです。
アース端子が無くても、3Pのコンセントがあれば、写真右上のアース端子付きの
コンセントプラグを使用すれば確実なアースを行うことが出来ます。

LANケーブルの接地
LANケーブルにはシールド付き（STP等）がありますが、このケーブルを使用する場合には、
シールド部分を接地する という絶対条件があります。
しかし写真のような機器は、RJ45のジャック部分は金属枠でシールドと接触していますが、
電源側は2Pで外部電源仕様となっており、この場合外部電源のプラグでの接地は期待
出来なくなります。
STPを使用する場合、HUBは電源内蔵、そしてコンセントは当然接地端子付きの3Pが
条件となります。
