スマホ社会

One thing I noticed during my visit to Japan is the widespread use of smartphones to accomplish various tasks. It's not necessarily because smartphones are better, but rather because, in Japanese business culture, there's minimal use of personal computers for anything other than work-related tasks, and using PCs for personal use is often discouraged. Many people in Japan use smartphones for activities like checking social media and news, which are typically done on PCs in the United States.
Furthermore, using regular websites on smartphones can be quite challenging in Japan, which has led to a preference for using apps. Considering these observations, I strongly feel that in future system development, there's a need to prioritize smartphone compatibility. It's interesting how everyone in Japan seems to be using smartphones on trains. I often wonder what they're doing!
