Amazon Web Service is down ... https://aws.amazon.com
It can happen, therefore it will happen.
Update (11:40 AM PT): AWS has fixed the issues with its own dashboard at least – it’ll now accurately reflect service status as it continues to attempt to fix the problem.
Update (11:57 AM PT): AWS says it believes they new “understand root cause” of the S3 issues, and are “working hard at repairing.” It has not shared specifics of that cause.
Update (12:15 PM PT): Network intelligence software provider ThousandEyes notes that all the packet loss for the ongoing issue appears to be happening in the Ashburn, VA area. Amazon has an AWS data center in Ashburn, whose exact location was revealed in a news story last year due to a fire during its construction.
Update (12:54 PM PT): AWS says it’s seeing “recovery for S3 object retrievals, listing and deletions” which means you’re probably seeing avatars and other visuals assets come back in some spots. The company also says it expects further improvements to error rates within the next hour.
Update (1:20 PM PT): S3 is now fully recovered in terms of the retrieval, listing and deletion of existing objects, according to the AWS status page, and it’s now working on restoring normal operation for the addition of new items to S3-based storage.
This buffer restaurant was recommended by two of my friends ... I was not sure what to make of, but I visited it today.
This is big and foods are great. Because it was Sunday, the price was $24.99. I thought it was expensive but that thought disappeared when you see the line up of all the foods. I post some of the pictures. I highly recommend it and I understand why people tell me good tings about it.
Nobody want to fail but there are more chance you fail in doing something than you succeed. In order to reduce waste (time, money and resource), it is very important to determine whether the project is fail or success.
If you can determine the failure quickly, you will gain an important knowledge without a lot of losses. Thus, the term Fail-Fast is born.
You can grow your company organically but sometimes there are opportunities to acquire the companies. However, even though both companies are in the same industry, the culture and the way both operate business can be very different. So, it is one thing to acquire a company but merging with it is completely different.
PSPinc has acquire some hosting clients from other companies ... After few years, we are still merging them into our business. Is it worth the trouble ... Yes, but it is a hard work.
I flew Viergin and Alaska yesterday ... They are completely different.
It was a really beautiful day at San Francisco. I was there with my patent attorney for the meeting with a bank. Silence I got complete ownership of the patent, I am now free to communicate with potential customers.
It is good to meet and talk to people in the banking industry where my patent should be useful. After the meeting, we had little time, so we waked to Fisherman's Warf for cram chowder and fish and chip dinner.

What a BS. I ordered using something called Alibaba Assurance ... I open a dispute with the vendor and if they do not respond in 3 days, I will have Alibaba take care of it. I hope Alibaba can keep their promise of assurance.
I will keep you posted. If Alibaba cannot resolve this case, I will report that as well. If Alibaba does not come through, I will go through VISA.
It says flammable cargo.
Eastbound on i90 floating bridge.
Oh well ... I looked for the place where I can report safety violation on State Patrol website ... It's not there. They should make one ... we can help.
Note: Department of Transportation says trucks carrying flammable cargo are restricted on I-90 between Interstate 5 in Seattle and Island Crest Way on Mercer Island when crews must inspect, test and maintain fire-suppression systems in the I-90 Mount Baker Tunnel and under the Mercer Island lid.
I was walking near the rail track (Yamanote Line in Tokyo) and came across this area (under the track) called no2k540 ... I have no idea what this mean. All the stores have something to do with manufacturing or crafting. You can search by the hashtag #no2k540
2k540
With a central theme of “Japanese monozukuri” (Japanese product making), this is a “street” which promotes new living styles in a row of stores that combine sales shops and craft studios. Including leather goods, jewelry, umbrellas, glasses, shoes, and more, the many different products feature warm and innovative designs that are only available here and that are individually and painstakingly created in the shops by richly original Japanese craftspeople. At some of the shops, you can try your own hand at product making. 2k540 is within walking distance of Akihabara.
I played golf today. It started okay with 43 for the front 9. Back 9, I was out of energy and shot 53. 10 stroke more than the first 9. Total, 96 ... That is bad. But I think I can get over this jet lag with this golf.
I arrived at Vancouver ... The plane was delayed over 30 minutes leaving the gate at Narita due to the traffic. But we arrived in YVR (Vancouver Airport) about 10 minutes late. TYhe flight itself was smooth with less than 8 hours of flight time. Unfortunately, I was selected fir random bag check ... That took aniother 20 minutes. Good news is I passed!!

Selections of movies are so much better in Japan compared to the US. There are many Japanese movies and anime that are only avaiable at NETFLIX Japan. It must be something to do with the copyright. I am sure many Anime fan in the US would love to have an access.
There is no snow in Seattle ... Someone told me when I moved to Seattle. That year, we had huge snow storm and I was not able to get out of apartment for a week. That was back in 1985. Since then, we had 4 or 5 snow. When it snows, Seattle shuts down. Unlike Chicago, Seattle has a lot of hills.
Today, there is a snow in Seattle. 99.9% of time, you do not need 4WD/AWD car but when it snows, you need it. That is the reason why Subaru has 5% market share in Washington State. One of our company car is Subaru. That is why I bought Subaru.
Our company car is San Diego was a Subaru ... We did not need that there for sure.
NHK is a Japanese public TV channel with no commercial. Super Bowl is being broadcasted in Japan by NHK ... That means I see no commercial. I wonder how much is NHK is paying for this broadcasting.
(1) Things you are good and you like to do.
(2) Things you are good but you do not like to do.
(3) Things you are not good and you do not like to do.
(4) Things you are not good but you like to do.
What are you doing?
If you are doing (1) or (2) ... You are okay.
If you are doing (3) ... Whay are you doing them?
If you are doing (4) ... Don't!!!
Many failiour cpomes from doing thing you want to do but not being rewarded. Evaluate what you do.
I walked over 11,500 steps today. I walked two train stations which took almost 2 hours, but took less than 8 minutes back by train. I saw many shops I have never seen before. This is a coffee ship with 70 years of history.
Arima Onsen 3,800yen includes 2,000yen lunch vaoucher and entry to hot spring.
When you come to Japan, one of the places you need to go is a hot spring. My house in Japan is very close to Arima, one of the most famous hot springs in Japan. Since, I cannot take a picture inside the bath, I took a picture just outside. It is a very nice place.
