なぜ100万円で買えるEVができないの？

いま米国で販売されている EV (電気自動車) の平均価格は $66,000 (900万円超え) です。これでは環境・環境と政府や環境団体が叫んでも一般人にはなかなか手が出ません。ほとんどの人のは自動車を通勤に使っていて一人で乗っていて距離は 100km 未満です。それならば 150km を走れる EV を 100万円で作れれば売れると思います。EV を購入すると今米国では $7,500 のリベートがもらえるので、ただで EV が帰ることになります。こんなビジネスモデルで作られた自動車はないのでしょうか。
