S220 started!!!

I jump started 1959 Mercedes Benz S220 this morning. I am starting my restoration project today for this summer.

Over $43,500. One I saw at the Chevy dealer had >$50k sticker price.

Even with possible $7500 Federal Tax Credit, the car is more expensive than NISSAN LEAF (100% Electric) or any of PRIUS Hybrids or Civic Hybrids.

The car is not that big and you can go 100% EV for only short distance. This car missed the mark by a mile. If the car is around $25K, it may make sense and I would consider one for PSPINC.

Free EV Charging Station in Downtown

We are able to find a DREE CHARGING station in the parking lot of downtown Seattle. It is a great service as most EV has only about 80 miles of range. Thanks!

I renewed the license tab on my car, and I received new license plate with new tab. What did I do wrongs. My current license plate is perfectly fine.

Finally it is over $4.00

I try to avoid at all costs but I finally had to but >$4.00 gallon gas for my car. It costed me $67 for 16.588 gallons of gas. Yes, my Accord ware really empty.

New Tires for a Old Car

Well, one of the tires on my 1959 Mercedes Benz 220S gave up. I replaced all four tires today. They are very small tires comparing to newer cars' tires.

I purchased life time warranty on those tires for $11 a tire. Considering I only drive less than 500 miles a year, I will be keeping this set of tires as long I live with 100% warranty. Unless Discount Tires goes out of business, I hunk I just purchased the last set of tires for my 220S.

Streets are not white but it is vey much iced up. 4WD and AWD may get the car moving but they do not do much to stop your car. So, be very careful and drive slow. It takes at least twice as much distance to stop.

This is the new design for a new company car, Nissan Leaf. It will be wrapped by Rainier Industries (http://www.rainier.com/), another Seattle Executives Company.

As you know, Nissan Leaf is a 100% Electric Car.

Some of you might say the electricity that we use to charge this car is not GREEN. Here is our answer to that. PSPINC purchases alternate energy from Puget Sound Energy.
