I got a call this morning and a gentleman wanted to look at it. I showed the Vaspa and have him ride ... He gave me an offer to buy it. I will prepare the document this weekend.

I went to lunch with four others from my office this afternoon. I walked back to make my one-mile-a-day target. It was little over mail and took 30 minutes. It was really a nice day for a walk.

Recently, business management seminars and informational websites suggest it’s not good for managers to work long and hard hours. Instead, their job consists of creating a good working environment. To do that, they must think about their employees and make sure they don’t have any problems. If problems do arise, a manager must work to eliminate any problems they may have. While I agree with this, I am concerned they are omitting something important. And that is whether the company is profitable or not.
It's great to work for a large company that can profit even if its employees don’t work long hours. If you work for such a company, they’ll pay you a higher salary because the business is making a good profit. While that’s ideal, it’s important to ask yourselves, how did they get to that point? To get there, there must’ve been people who worked harder, better, and longer than other companies.
Many people are averse to taking responsibility. When they fail, many people blame others or society. I think more people think that companies will forgive them even if they don’t take responsibility. However, all problems that occur at my company are my responsibility. Even if I’m not directly involved. That is why I’m always on the lookout for problems.
If I ignore even a small problem, it will eventually develop into a bigger problem. There’s this theory called Heinrich’s Law that looks at the frequency and severity of accidents. Behind every big problem is even more smaller problems. And when referring to the workplace, there are more unreported problems in addition to that. That is why as a company owner, it’s important to stay on top of this. A company owner can be picky because if the company is not successful, they cannot care about their employees. Having said this, it is vital to manage a company well. Don’t you think so? A company owner's responsibility is to manage the company responsibly.

I played 18 holes of golf today. I shot 102 ... It is bad but considering this was the second time I play golf since my surgery. I am happy that I can play golf. I walked more than a mile today. I will take it easy for the rest of the day.

I filled up my car at COSTCO today and the price was under $5.00.
Am I happy?
Yes ... compared to $5.89 I paid last time.
But I think I won't be happy until it is under $3.50.
