Twitter is down. It is not cool but as a another company who operates data center and hundreds of servers, we really understand what they must be going through.

Recently, I have noticed that twitter is being run over by the people who claim to get you bigger traffic by posting porn picture. They must be having hell of a time fighting with those abuse the system. All I can say is "GOOD LUCK!"

Tank Less Water Heater

Recently, people here in America are given an option to purchase and install tank-less water heater. But most of homes still use water heater with tank. It is still very new in Japan.

In Japan, I have never seen a house with tanked water heater. So, this is a picture from my parents home in Japan. They have tank-less water heater. It works great. I would like to have tank-less units in my house. However, we just upgraded our heater and duct this year to better than 95% efficiency one. So, the water heater must wait until next year.

Web hosting and Internet solutions provider Pacific Software Publishing (www.pspinc.com) has successfully completed a Statement on Auditing Standards No. 70 (SAS 70) Type 1 Audit of its controls and processes, assuring customers their data is secure, based on specific standards.

According to PSP's Wednesday announcement, the successful audit demonstrates the company's commitment to server monitoring and security, and support service practices by an independent auditing firm.
Developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, SAS 70 is the part of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002 that concerns data center operations and internal controls. While the Sarbanes-Oxley act was originally intended for the financial services industry (in response to a number of major corporate and accounting scandals such as those affecting Enron, Tyco International, WorldCom, and others), the SAS 70 element of it has become known as a high standard for evaluating outsourced data center solutions.

Founded in 1987 and based in Bellevue, Washington, PSP is currently one of the largest hosting companies for Japanese corporate domains. Its completion of the SAS 70 Type 1 audit provides assurance for customers both in the US and Japanese markets.

"We are committed to providing quality services to our customers and requested this audit to make sure that the objectives for the controls and processes we developed at PSP, Inc. follows specific standards.
