オスの渡り蟹が旬です！

ワタリガニ（大分ではガザミと呼びます）の旬の時期は年に２回あります。
５月から９月の間と、１１月から２月の間の年２回。

夏場にはオスが、冬にはメスが旬の時期を迎えます。

５月から９月の時期のオスは、美味しい甘みのある身がしっかり詰まっています。
大ぶりで食べごたえがあるカニです。

１１月から２月の時期は、メスが美味しくいただける時期です。
この時期のワタリガニのメスは、お腹の中に内子とよばれる卵をかかえています。
メスの身は濃厚で甘みがあります。
