縄文杉にも劣らない石徹白大杉

銚子ヶ峰の登山道の入り口付近に杉の大木があります。
樹齢1800年、卑弥呼の時代に生まれた木です。

縄文杉程の知名度はありませんが、13ｍも木の周囲はあり
比較的手軽に見ることの出来る天然記念物です。

屋久島は遠く、さらに登山が必要ですが、ここはスニーカーで
登れ、名古屋から完全に日帰りドライブコースです。
