近江商人はこの堀を使って物資を運んだり行き来したのでしょうね。
この水郷は車で走っていると全く見えないので新たな発見になりましたね。
今はここを水郷めぐりの観光船が運航しています。
いずれ船からの写真も撮りたいと思っています。

近江八幡は雰囲気のある街ですね。
また是非訪れてみたい所のひとつです。

近江八幡市はご存知でしたか？
近江商人発祥の地（他にも近隣に発祥の地は幾つかあるのですが）ということで古の風情があります。
今よりスローライフな時代も良いなと思います。
