八幡堀(6)
八幡堀にある「かわらミュージアム」。
近江八幡は昔から日本瓦の産地でもあるのです。
瓦は重いですから運ぶのにもこの八幡堀は都合が良かったのだと思います。
船なら一度に沢山運べますからね。

「かわらミュージアム」には軽食ストランもあるので散策の休憩に静かなたたずまいでのひと時はまた良いものだと思います。

関西だからあるって感じの博物館ですね・・・。

関東にはこういう歴史が少ないんですよ・・・。

歴史は古いですが何もかもこじんまりしています。
