隠れ家に戻ったVette
広角ミラー「アウトバーン」装着して以来、このマシンの運転が楽になった。
ステアリングが右であろうと左であろうと、ミッションがMTであろうとATであろうと、地を這うようなスポーツカーであろうと、ハイリフトの４×４であろうと、僕はなんの変りもなくコントロールする。
そんな僕でも、安全確認のしやすさはありがたい。

人生で最も長く付き合い続けているのが、この1969年生まれの彼女なのだ。
12連のメーターと、リッチモンドのミッションが、その本気度合いを語っている。
