UDON and ODEN for Dinner in Tokyo

I enjoyed a traditional Japanese dinner at Hanamaru Udon, a cozy spot next to my hotel. The meal of udon and oden was simple but satisfying.
The udon came in a light, savory broth with thick, chewy noodles—comforting and perfectly balanced. The oden added heartiness with its mix of fish cakes, daikon, and boiled egg, all simmered in seasoned dashi.
The best part? It only cost 1,100 yen (about $8.00 USD), with no tipping required. Hanamaru Udon delivered an authentic, filling meal that reminded me why I love these small dining experiences when traveling.
