You can get Shabu Shabu lunch for less than 2,500 yem ... that is about US$20.
It is considered to be one of more expensive lunch, but the quality is great.
I think in the US, yu are lucky if you can eat a bowl of Ramen at this price.
The price includes sales tax (called comsumption tax) and there is not tipping.

I did not play golf but ...

My golf outing got cancelled today, so I decided to spend some time walking around Tokyo. I started off by visiting Ameyoko to buy a more comfortable pair of shoes. Then, I went to a place where I get all my glasses made to get a new pair. I had lunch in Ueno and then went back to the hotel.

Later, I went to Shinjuku to meet my friend and had dinner. I ended up walking over 5 miles and taking 10,000 steps. I didn't play golf, but I walked a lot. It was a good day.

Rainy Saturday Morning from Tokyo

Unfortunately, it startedf rain late last night and it will contine to rain over this weeked. I was planning to play golf with my friends this weekend but it giot cancelled. I am used to rain is Seattle buit I don't want to play giolf in the rain in Japan.

So, I have full weekend to explor Tokyo.

Because I walked around so much since I arrived in Japan in my business shoes ... my feet stated hurting. I wend to 100 yem shop and purchase cushion for my shoes. With it, my feet are fines be my legs are huring from walking. That is supposed to be a good thing.

Consideration

In Japan, when speaking to a superior, it’s necessary to be considerate (”hairyo” in Japanese). Superiors generally mean those higher up in a company, customers, and older people. In short, consideration refers to treating people with thoughtfulness and attentiveness, depending on the situation. Specifically, it involves considering others’ feelings and positions and acting accordingly in a courteous manner. To maintain good relationships with people, being considerate is important, which requires showing respect and treating others with kindness. Consideration also builds trust and encourages good communication with others.

Consideration for customers is called "omotenashi”. Omotenashi means inviting people and entertaining them wholeheartedly. In traditional Japanese culture, omotenashi is very important and based on the idea that "customers are gods”. Specifically, when welcoming someone, you must use polite language and prepare a clean place. It’s also important to consider their tastes and hobbies, and to offer some form of entertainment like food, tea, and conversation.

Even today, omotenashi plays a very important role in the hospitality, tourism, and service industry. Providing customers with a comfortable space and high-quality service will increase satisfaction, increase repeat business, and lead to good word-of-mouth. Omotenashi shows genuine consideration for others, which can deepen the relationship of trust and bonding with them.

Consideration is a common way to express "hairyo" in English. Words like "thoughtfulness" and "carefulness" can also be used to express the same meaning.

After almost 10 hours of flight ... I have arrive at Haneda / Tokyo Intertnational Airport.
