Today is the closest morning this winter. The golf course has issued the frost delay until 9:30am this morning. I walked dogs near by park. They don't seem to mind the clod weather.
My Mac pro can not be upgraded to the latest operating system from Apple. It is frozen at 10.7.5 which is called Mac OS X Lion. My MacBook pro is now the later Yosemite.
Comparing those tow, Mac OS X Lion boots up faster, shut down faster, loads application as last as Yosemite. Mac Mail is much more stable with Mac OS X Lion. With Mac OS X Lion, everything just works better.
I am keeping Mac OS X Lion for a while.
Buses and taxies in Japan are very clean and well maintained. Of of the resin is the fact that the drivers are responsible for cleaning the vehicles they drive before and after their shifts. When I look at buses in the US, their wheels are dirty but in Japan even wheels are cleaned.
I guess the job descriptions of the driver does not include cleaning the car.
When the job description says that you are supposed to do certain things but in addition to that, as a people working in small company you supposed to
- Pickup the phone when it rings
- Pickup the trash if you see one
- Open a door of someone needs help
- Clean your desk when you leave
- Add paper when the printer is out of paper
- Wash your coffee cup when you are done with it
- Make coffee if its out
You need to be good to others without being written in the job description.
I ate at the hotel ... it's a buffet style breakfast.
I picked Japanese style breakfast. This should be my last meal in Japan as I am leaving at 12:30 flight.
I'm leaving Japan today and heading back to Seattle via Incheon Korea. I'll be spending over 17 hours traveling and transmitting today. It's going to be a long day.
I walked 1,000 miles since I started using FitBit.
Ever since I installed Yosemite, my Mac is acting very strange. I may have to use the following options to boot up Macintosh correctly.
To boot from a CD or DVD: Restart your Mac while pressing the C key. This is a great way to free your startup volume when you want to test it or optimize it using a commercial utility.
To eject a recalcitrant disc that doesn’t show up on the Desktop: Restart Mac OS X and hold down the mouse button, or if you have a late-model Mac, press the Media Eject key as soon as you hear that magnificent startup chord.
To force your Mac to boot in Mac OS X: Hold down the X key while restarting or booting the Mac.
To display a system boot menu: Hold down the Option key while restarting or booting the Mac, and you can choose which operating system you want to use.
To prevent start-up applications from running during login: Hold down the Shift key while you click the Login button on the Login screen. If you don’t see the Login screen during startup, just hold down Shift while Mac OS X boots until the Finder menu appears.
I had a new business meeting at JETRO (Japan External Trade Organization) today. It is only about 8 minutes away from my hotel by Taxi. I waled back from JETRO to the hotel. That took about 30 minuets. Good meeting & excellent walk.
