We had Northwest Minority Supplier Development Council Business Opportunity Fair at Westin Hotel in Seattle. Because of the forecast of snow, we had light turn out. But I made some great contact at the fair.

Wonderful Gadget ... Photo Scanner

thread
Wonderful Gadget ... Photo Sca...
I have decided to convert every paper photos to digital images. I could use flatbed scanner or new copier to scan, but they do not feed photos like dedicated scanner. So, I spent little over $400 to purchase Fujitsu ScanSnap Scanner.

I set it up today and started to scan photos. I brought 370 pictures to the office to test ... It took less than 1 hour to scan everything. It is worth every penny I spent to buy this scanner. It is wonderful.

Calorie Free Ketchup

thread
Calorie Free Ketchup
I tried calorie free ketchup this morning. This was left over from mu daughters Kitogenic Diet she tried. It tastes like mexican pepper source without any hotness. It was not bad at all. It has no sugar either. So, it is good for me too.

I have never heard of this company before. Interesting products they have ... all calorie free.

What is the 3rd leading cause of death?

thread
What is the 3rd leading cause ...
This is reported in 2006.

The report apparently shows there are 2,000 deaths/year from unnecessary surgery; 7000 deaths/year from medication errors in hospitals; 20,000 deaths/year from other errors in hospitals; 80,000 deaths/year from infections in hospitals; 106,000 deaths/year from non-error, adverse effects of medications - these total up to 225,000 deaths per year in the US from iatrogenic causes which ranks these deaths as the # 3 killer.

$5 Burger

thread
$5 Burger
Did you know all burgers are $5 at Applebee on Monday after 5:00pm? Substitute fries with salad, you pay $2.50 more but it is one of the greatest deals out there. I am not going to loose weight doing this.

This is so bad ...

Cloud Source Design

thread
Cloud Source Design
I just learned about the cloud source design business. This is a very simple but very effective business idea. If you want Logo Design, Packaging, Business Cards, stationaries and even web site designed, you can use http://99designs.com/ or http://www.crowdspring.com.

Both businesses run based on same idea. I will give a try when I need something made.

Don't play on this!

Don't play on this!
I saw this at Seattle Home Show today. Don't you think the pipe slide on the right is too steep? The middle section is vertical. No wonder they don't want anyone playing on it.

1959 Mercedes Benz 220S
I finally took the car home. It was fun driving ... people are waiving and smiling. What a feeling. I will drive for a while before I start fixing the cosmetic things. Park Place Service did a great job making this car safe.
