これがメヌケ！　金目鯛やキンキに似てますが別種です。

これも珍しい！　『メヌケ（目抜け）の刺身』

焼き霜造りで脂がのり、皮目が旨い！

金目やキンキに似てますが別種、赤魚やアコウは同種。

体長40～60cm以上になる。水深200～1000mの深い海に生息するため、
釣り上げられたとき、水圧の急激な変化により目が飛び出すことから、
「目が抜け出る」という意味でメヌケの名がある。
