桃の配達

今日は知人から桃のお裾分けがありました。

またまた美味しそうな「川中白桃」でした。
原産は長野県ですが、ここ岡山でも作っています。
岡山の白い白桃と違って、皮に赤みがありますが、長野や山梨で取れる物はもっと全体が赤色です。
岡山で育つ「川中白桃」は白色部分が多いようです。
果肉は白くきめ細やかで、白桃よりも甘みの強い濃厚な味がします。

集荷してすぐに持って来て頂いたので3・4日置くと食べごろになるそうです。
楽しみです～
