棕櫚の木にまとわりついたノウゼンカズラが今年も沢山花を咲かせました。

「凌霄花」という漢名の意味は、つるが木にまとわりつき天空を凌ぐほど高く登るところから付いたということですがまさにそれを体現するかの咲き方です。

家の周辺では一番沢山咲くところです。
毎年どれだけ咲くか観察しています。
棕櫚の木のまだ上の方に花が無いのでこれからまた咲くと思います。その頃が一番見ごたえがあります。
