I think taxi drivers are losing jobs to uber/lyft drivers now. If this happens, taxi/uber/lyft drivers will all lose jobs... Not sure what kind of effect it will do to economy. When technology takes over things, it becomes very convenient, but I'm not sure if it is always good.
