Big Data

There is an incredible amount of data in the world. For example - emails, call center conversation audio files, photos, videos, articles, texts, proposals, accounting files, and much more. All of this data I mentioned have one thing in common, you want to keep it but not actually use it on a daily basis. How do you store this kind of data?

Most people store this type of data on a medium such as a hard disk. When it is full, they buy more hard disks. This process is being done every day. People often think, if only they could put this data in the cloud. Though the consideration is what is the cost of storing that much data in the cloud?

I heard this story during my last trip to Japan. I'm preparing now for my company to provide a big and secure storage solution. Internally, we call it the Simple Data Pool project. Needless to say, the key to this project is price, capacity and security.

Some of you reading this newsletter may have a lot of digital data. Please let us know if you like what we are working on. When I first studied business at university, the first thing I was told was "find the need and fill it”. It's nice to have a problem we can tackle.
